Sunday (11/17) was the birthday of the late, great, Harold Eugene Clark. He was more commonly known by his stage name, Gene Clark. He was a founding member, and the principal songwriter, of the Byrds. He initially played rhythm guitar in the band, but switched to tambourine and harmonica when David Crosby joined the group. To celebrate:
Sunday (11/17) is the birthday of Martin Barre. He was not a founding member, but he was the lead guitarist for Jethro Tull from 1968 until they broke up in 2011.
Monday (11/18) was the birthday of Hermann Erbel. He's more commonly known by his stage name, Herman Rarebell. He was a founding member, but he was the drummer of Scorpion during their most successful period. To celebrate:

Right on! Yeah, they are all over the place, but man do they bring it. I'm not as crazy about the metal stuff, but it certainly is high quality. I see they played ONE, Straws in the Wind, and Magma - three of my favorites. F'ing Magma is insane.

I feel like a loser for not going. They're not going to play any closer to me any time soon. This tour is off the chain and they have released every show so far from the soundboard. They are getting better as the tour goes on. Listened to the Gorge last night.
I'm sure they will be back. Such a great idea to stream and save shows on youtube. And such great quality.
Yeah, that Gorge show was great. Speaking of Magma, that may have been the best version ever. I was an idiot and went in way too late. I underestimated how many people would be there and was in the way back. It's a really great scene.
