Friday (11/15) is the birthday of Anni-Frid Lyngstad. She was a founding member of ABBA. She more commonly went by the name of Frida. To celebrate, one of the few hit songs for the group where she was the lead singer:


Listening to UPENN radio today a young black student dj played an ABBA song and went out “that was A B B A”, spelling it out. At that moment I felt every one of my 61 years

Sunday (11/17) was the birthday of the late, great, Harold Eugene Clark. He was more commonly known by his stage name, Gene Clark. He was a founding member, and the principal songwriter, of the Byrds. He initially played rhythm guitar in the band, but switched to tambourine and harmonica when David Crosby joined the group. To celebrate:

Sunday (11/17) is the birthday of Martin Barre. He was not a founding member, but he was the lead guitarist for Jethro Tull from 1968 until they broke up in 2011.
