They actually did not resurrect an extinct species. They edited the DNA from a gray wolf to reproduce a few genes from the remains of a dire wolf to produce a phenotype similar to the dire wolf.
There was not iota of DNA of an actual dire wolf used to produce these animals. Still pretty cool though.

I want to look up in the sky and see a pterasaur one day. I've seen a couple of bald eagles before, and they looked like B-52s. I can't imagine what a pteranodon with a 25-foot wingspan would look like.
Apparently about 150 lbs. The expected bite force at the canine tooth would be the most powerful of any cannid species, but not by a lot. It's not a monster, but an impressive predator.
I don't think they're bringing back any dinosaurs. It's going to be things they can get viable DNA from. Mostly things that went out within the last 50 to 100k years in places with conditions that could preserve DNA. Think cold.
They have the technology to clone people and may have already done it in other countries. The technology also easily exists to edit human DNA and insert it into an egg without a nucleus to create a designer baby/super soldier. There's also the rich and famous that harvest their eggs and sperm to create designer babies (seems Paris Hilton was going to do this at one point) just like they did on the movie Gattaca with Ethan Hawke and Uma Therman. Good movie.
Can’t wait until we have a season on dinosaurs. Even with the 300 win mag, probably going to need to use a bonded bullet for that one. I hope they taste good.

The white meat on a panda is ok. The dark meat is not worth eating. Can’t speak for owl.
Somebody needs to shoot some of them. The dang things are literally everywhere. The Feds that estimate the population numbers won’t get in the back country and go take a look. I know outfitters that have offered to take them and they won’t go.
Owl is a lot like hawk, just like possum is a lot like coon. Only possum is real greasy and coon isn’t.
