PSU certainly wasn't prepared for UM last year but I think the team has usually been prepared for big games.

My concern is how the team has been able to execute late in games. Two blown 4th qtr leads to OSU losing by 1 pt both times. Blown 3 score lead in 4th qtr vs USC. DB falls down giving UM a late victory.

I remember a last second loss to MD where PSU could have won by converting a 4th and short but instead we punted to midfield where MD only needed one 1st down to win with a last second FG. Or the Indiana game we would have won by taking a knee. Instead we score but lose in OT.

We've certainly had some questionable play calling and execution late in games.

Guman up the middle comes to mind.

The team was not prepared for Iowa, Illinois, Ohio State and Michigan State in 2021 and in 2022, Michigan.

Kicking game seems to be unproven and the biggest question mark.
Secondly perhaps the receivers. If they truly want to excel they need more than just "decent" receivers.
With all the depth, I'd hope injuries, in general, aren't as critical as they have been in the recent past.
