What did Slimey Slive have to say on Finebaum today?

Mostly analytical BS and tried to justify why Cam was allowed to play. I thought I was listening to a prepared court room drama and Finebaum was pretty easy on him. No listeners were allowed to ask questions. Not much else.

A highly publicized story about a LSU player that did not get his scholarship renewed caused him to look into the new 25 player signing rules. That's the only part of the show I heard.

That's what bugs me about Slive. All the new rules he makes up are out of his own reaction to the way the media is reacting to something.

If the media comes out talking about how an SEC player died of heat stroke, Slive will propose a rule limiting practice time or forcing teams not to practice when the temperature gets over 95.

I don't see him putting any logical thought into any proposals, just throwing out a rule to try to pacify the media after they've chastised one of his institutions. He's a moron.

There was a rule that was broken in regard to Cam. He basically said that rule was written for something going on in the 70's and if he applied that rule even Darius, Julio, and Ingram would not have played another down in the SEC. It makes Slive and company the dictator for him to decide when to enforce rules. I would rather not have the rule on the books if it is only going to be enforced on a case by case basis. This opens all other rules to be in question and when to apply them depending on the situation.
