That’s how they do it in J-town. Those videos always (always) have the obligatory screaming female in the background, like it makes a damn bit of difference.

I read this header and thought “Oh **** video came out of the debauchery from the 2010 Gator Bowl.” That was not me on the mechanical bull. I just want to put that out there.

They have a two year gap when the stadium is getting renovated and the thought is the game will be in Atl and Tampa. That seems like a huge fail. The opposition fanbase has not been able to visit your campus in 80 years, just do a home and home.
They played home & home in 94 & 95 when the Gator Bowl was being renovated. They should just do that again. Atlanta & Tampa is lame.

Looks like a couple guys are about to win the lottery. I bet Shanarah is scrambling for his FL license as I type.

This is wild. Looks like the same officer in both videos if I’m not mistaken? As someone with law enforcement experience that still teaches at police academies, I can’t say I’ve ever seen an officer use handcuffs as a bludgeoning weapon.

Fire this guy now.
Or . . .

Saying this one was over not showing digital tickets, which he had evidently. Here is a glimpse of life in a cashless society.

Without commenting on all that, watching these two videos was upsetting for me. This officer is dangerous, and he’s going to get someone killed, whether it’s a member of the public, a fellow officer, or himself. Right away in the second video, I observe that he immediately has his taser drawn to deal with someone who appears to be using passive resistance. His job is to de-escalate in this situation.

Also, the deployment of the taser in a vicinity where others are standing close is troublesome, and proves to not be effective. The other thing that repulses me is his use of what I refer to as “compliance strikes” against both the younger man and the older man. The strikes to the back of the head were sickening, but using cuffs as a bludgeoning weapon might’ve been worse. I suspect he’s a newer officer. He should not be a police officer, period.

No matter how unfair cops are being, just comply, film it and file a complaint the next day.

Usually there are a legal hurtles when suing municipalities and LE.

He looked pretty compliant laying there getting his *** beat. No matter what happened before, this one is on the cop.
unless you are seeing a different first video than me, you can't tell what happened up to that point and in the second video, the guys wasn't being complaint. Keeping your mouth shut is covered under being compliant.

yeah, it'd likely be useless, but better than getting beat down by deputy Bubba in front of your wife and kids.
What they can do is file federal civil rights litigation and go after their qualified immunity. That barrier will not survive when beating an elderly guy when he is bent over, defensive, and not a threat.
