former logo for the Bulldog Club (with a slight modification) then that would get my vote. This logo shows a bulldog profile, but not a caritcature, it shows the outline of the state of Mississippi, and the word "State"...a simple yet classic looking logo. It makes the case, but doesn't overdo it. Since it's too cool, it would never be accepted.

We would use the football helmet from the late 70's early 80's. Baseball would keep the interlocking MS and Basketball could keep the banner-M or go with whatever new logo they come up with. I just hope the new one looks a lot better than the preview's when it is done.

branding is a very important aspect of recruiting. The more you change your logo around the less recognizable you become. Keep the M-State. There is nothing wrong with it. It could stand some tweaking, but it is really not that awful.

</p> i think the biggest issue at hand is not what the university logo should be, but what logo should be used on the side of our football helmets. like what was said before, the m-state logo looks like an academic logo and is definately not an athletic looking logo. if it were not on the side of our helmets, i don't think people would dislike it as much.
