I’m 55 and don't want to sell anything, buy anything, or process anything. I don't want to sell anything bought or processed, or buy anything sold or processed, or process anything sold, bought, or processed, or repair anything sold, bought, or processed.

That’s what’s wrong with me. And my buddy Lloyd Dobler.
Hold on, it's gonna take me awhile to process that ... OK, I'll buy it.

I'm 41 and I can't stand Pearl Jam and would prefer to watch Penn State games on TV at home.

How can anyone stand the taste of cilantro? I don't think Divine (R.I.P.) would have eaten it,

Ask me anything.
If a train leaves Chicago traveling southwest at 40 mph and another train leaves Phoenix at the same time traveling northeast at 35 mph… assuming the trains are on the same track… where do they meet?

I’m 73 and I don’t like more than what I do like. I prefer non fiction books about historical events or biographies, movies about real events like Zero Dark Thirty or Full Metal Jacket, classic cars, smart women, mechanical watches, classical music, classic cocktails, real food (not BBQ), good wine or beer, uncrowded beaches, clothes made of natural fibers, and most of all non phony people. Mix me a Makers Mark Manhattan and put on a Helen Mirren movie and I’m a happy camper. But you can keep Top Gun and Tom Cruise. Even his name is phony. Finally if someone has a tattoo I immediately conclude that they are an idiot. And if they happen to own an assault rifle I don’t much care for them either (and I’m a veteran not that that’s relevant).

I'm ok with tats on bikers and sailors, though I am both and still have no tats.

What's wrong with me? I never understood the worship of Twitter and anything that anyone with an opinion posted on Twitter should be considered the Gospel truth. Same with Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat or any other new platform that people use to spout their worthless opinions on sports, lifestyles or why they should be listened to as the "hot social influencer".. We all have a brain, (more or less), we can make our own opinions and likes/dislikes without your help, thank you very much!

I grew up in a Polish neighborhood and absolutely hate the smell and taste of pierogis. As a child i once sat at the dinner table for 5 hours because i refused to eat them.

I don’t get it.

Pierogies. Be right back.

I rarely enjoy historical movies. Spotlight is a recent exception, but by and large too many liberties are taken with the facts. I absolutely loathe The Imitation Game; Alan Turing in real life was nothing like the character Benedict Cumberbatch put on the screen, disgraceful. Also, although Turing was surely an extraordinarily important part of the Bletchley Park operation, he didn’t do this more or less single-handedly, as the movie implies.

You can pick your Twitter reads judiciously and learn a lot. Easier said than done, of course.

Can you tell me about the the Subaru Ascent?
My bro Captain’s wife drives one. They bought their daughter 2 a new Outback last year and she got head on’d by a suburban a few months ago. If you could see her subie you’d freak out, absolutely totaled. She walked away.
Capt has since given 2 their ascent, installed a bed in the back (she’s a Jackson hole board bum, off grid summer hiker) and they ordered a new Ascent for moms. I’m pro Subie after seeing the accident pics. I’ll try to post it.
One thing I dislike is it may have a CVT transmission, which is a non enthusiast trans.

A fav:
