Though I have mixed emotions about them coming into the SEC, I probably would oppose them, in the end. That probably makes them a "slam dunk" to get in. LOL. If it was up to me, clemson would figuratively twist slowly....slowly in the wind.

Hey ! Who's up for another rumor.
It goes like this, UF and USCe are negotiating divisions so when the SEC extends the formal invite to Clemson, FSU & Miami, those games would not
count as a division loss.

I am not owning this, just passing along something I read.

Is not the ACC exit fee astronomical? I would believe that the ACC must first disintegrate for clemson, FSU and Miami to join another conference.

From sources I have spoken with at this time the SEC is going to stand at 16 teams.
That would make sense. Adding the Texas market should result in an astronomical TV package for the SEC. Adding teams beyond 16 would not be much accretive beyond what the new 16-team SEC would be.

Well to answer your question, No but Yes. Initially it appears very high, but through legal maneuvering the initial amount can be negotiated based on projected TV appearances and monies earned. Or so I've been told.

What’s happening with the Longhorn Network?

EDIT: It’s dead after they join the SEC by 2025.

It takes 2 to negotiate. I'm not sure that the ACC has much incentive to negotiate to lose schools, especially those in the Sunshine State.
