If Texas A&M hangs on against Auburn, and loses to Texas next weekend, at home…..
…..it may not even matter outside of a few other game results maybe changing certain things. They’d play again in Atlanta the very next weekend for the SEC championship.
Imagine Texas beating A&M, in College Station, finishing first place in the SEC, then having to beat them aGAIN in Atlanta the very next week to win the actual championship.
What a damn joke this new format is. Holy 17. This is some U8 soccer rec league type BS.
And an ETA: Not that these two teams could ever arrange it, but the whole thing is ripe for collusion. A&M could agree to lay down for the rivalry game, in exchange for the other laying down in Atlanta….so they both make the CFP.
