In your opinion, is it an equitable swap? Should it be done? Is there precedent for a swap where a common civilian (granted a star athlete) is swapped for one of the most dangerous people in the world - a person who was/is dedicated to undermining American interests wherever possible and killing as many Americans as possible? If it does happen, I assume that Whelan would be part of the deal too. What about Mark Fogel? I think he's out of luck in that the U.S. government hasn't labeled him as "wrongfully detained."
