WORST case is 7-5, with this schedule, what a great season; WE CAN WIN 10!!!

Hard to believe the difference between what we look like now and what we looked like last year. If Beamer beats Mizzou, I say give the man an extension. He earned it.

Sure, but this team has way passed expectations already. Be serious, none of us saw this going into the season. We went from a team that needed to run fake punts and trick plays into a team that runs it down your throat and stuffs you on defense. It took a while to figure that out but that’s who we are. Now that we know it, it has worked every week. Coaching staff has to get some credit for the last 3 weeks.

We crapped the bed the first half of the season. We could get fresh sheets on the bed by beating UPC. If we win out and get into the playoffs, that's hunky-dorey, but for me, the main thing is ALWAYS beating UPC.
I truly believe you will get your wish this year. I think we'll eat Clemmons alive.

Sticking with what I said........ win out and make the playoffs at #12

The announcers were talking about it......
Im not allowing myself to consider that. Its too much of a dream. But if we keep this pace and beat Missouri and Clemson convincingly, and sit at 9-3, no fair person could see us and think there are 12 teams better in America. They just wont give the SEC that many spots, and they wont jump us over Bama, Georgia, LSU if they have 2-3 losses. Texas and Tennessee will be in. A&M will land w 3 losses and we should jump them but thats all.

Indiana may be what screws us. B10 will get Oregon, Ohio State and Indiana for sure. Probably Penn State too. And Notre Dame is floating around. If not for Indiana Id think maybe SEC could get 5 in

SEC gets 4, B10 4, ACC 1 maybe 2, Big12 1-2,

Yep and I couldnt be hapoier. Dominant defense and a dominant run game is a consistent winner. If Beamer has set us up for that to be our identity long term, we will be a consistent 8-9 win program with a few special 10+ ones and occasionally disappointing ones mixed in, but I’ll take that!

Its 100% the defensive line. A dominant defensive line changes everything
Maybe not 100%. ;) Defensive secondary is tackling better than I have ever seen them in the past.
Night and day difference in the offense as well. Not only compared to last year, but compared to earlier this season. Our receivers couldn't catch a cold, now they can. Our line couldn't make holes, now they can. Sellers couldn't throw on the run, now he can. And our RBs are starting to make this game look easy. It's a good time to be a Gamecock.

I want us to dominate Mizzou. Not sure who I want to beat worse, Mizzou or Clemson. I do know the coach I can’t stand the most, and we owe them
I want Missouri more. SC has shed this business of regularly losing to Kentucky but picked up the habit of losing regularly to Missouri. Loosing to Clemson has also been a regular occurrence since 2014. The difference is Clemson has simply been better, don’t believe that about Missouri. SC has had some disappointing showings against them. If the Gamecocks are going to be and want to be a program taken more seriously in the SEC then you can’t be losing to Missouri.

Extension - No, please no. Not yet. His salary was doubled before last season and he was given an extension. That was followed up by an inexcusable season. Coaches are overly rewarded for good seasons but no consequences for poor seasons. I would really like to see what he can do to keep it all going. New era of football and they can easily be back in the dumpster next season.

But no one at the school is asking me anything so he’ll get an extension and probably a raise.

Losing to Clemron has been a regular occurrence since 1897.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not talking some huge extension or a pay raise. If we are middle of the pack, he should be paid middle of the pack. I think he is, isn't he? No what I'm saying is a good year deserves a one year extension. I dont think that's getting ahead of yourself. That said, beat Mizzou first before calling this a good year. Four and four is not a good year imo

Sacrilege.

Such is what can happen when your big instate rival is not in your conference - "It just means less."

When was the last time you saw us physically dominate 3 teams? You have to go back to to the Ole’ Ball coach. Sure, we will have to fill gaps in the portal, but Beamer seems to know how to do it.

Clemson is a bigger win because it’s a rival and they are perceived as better than Missouri. Win both, but yes beat those Taters, why can’t we do both ? Neither team can match our physical play.

Well, people dreaming about the playoffs understand we would have to win all of them. But if I could only win one - discounting Wofford - I'm taking that last one.

Which win generates more publicity, a "better" bowl, or a chance at the playoffs?

Agreed, both could easily happen. No matter what happens, the season has been a big success. Had we not gotten ripped off in the LSU game, we would definitely be a playoff team now.
