Well, my initial reaction was I felt like puking. And I hate Pitt. So, that tells you how I'm leaning. This is a complete mess.As fans, I think you may have to ask yourself if you really want to support “college” football anymore?
Now teams are really buying players. There is no way these respective NIL groups are not asking/getting unofficial guidance from CFB HCs and staffs on who to target and make offers to, and $ amounts.
sure it isMaybe it isn’t so bad to be us.
NoAs fans, I think you may have to ask yourself if you really want to support “college” football anymore?
Who enforces that?As much as I hate Pitt, I hope they push the tampering angle and don’t let up. This reeks so bad and is terrible for cfb if this kind of stuff starts happening more.
Emmert's got this.Who enforces that?
Going to the PAC 12 is competing vs Big Time teams? USC us the closest to Big Time and it appears he will play for them. Not against them. The only big name program USC plays regularly is Notre Dame.Addison is a star. Would Mike Trout want to play for a minor league team if he had a chance to play in the majors? Addison probably worked hard to develop his skill. Why should he not get the chance to play for a big time program in a big time conference? Maybe he is sick of playing in front of 20K sleepy fans every week and would like to occasionally showcase his skills on national TV. Maybe Addison is tired of playing against cupcakes and wants to show the world that he can excel against big time teams. That could improve his draft status.
What would you do if you were Addison?
Is there big time teams in the PAC 12 besides USC?Maybe Addison is tired of playing against cupcakes and wants to show the world that he can excel against big time teams.
Oregon, Utah, Washington State, Arizona State, Oregon State, USC, UCLA -- in my opinion all better than any team in the ACC Coast ConferenceIs there big time teams in the PAC 12 besides USC?
Agree. As much as I hate Pitt, I hope they push the tampering angle and don’t let up. This reeks so bad and is terrible for cfb if this kind of stuff starts happening more.
With NIL the difference between big time college football and the NFL is dwindling. As fans, I think you may have to ask yourself if you really want to support “college” football anymore?
The hypocrisy level of the NFL is lower, while the level of play is higher- it's really not a close call at all. With NIL the difference between big time college football and the NFL is dwindling.
Obviously, we cannot give a definitive NO, but from what we knew of his character, I would lean 99% toward NO.I've posed this question before- would Joe have even wanted to coach in today's "game"?
Probably my last year of being a season ticket holder. This is not CFB anymore.I've posed this question before- would Joe have even wanted to coach in today's "game"?
He would have tried in vain to stop what is going on to no avail He always said he felt the kids should get a stipend. But you bring up a great point . But in the end he would have kept going on because it was all he had in his lifeI've posed this question before- would Joe have even wanted to coach in today's "game"?
