You are a damn fool if you go to either the Tennessee or Tillman game

Tanner calls your bluff. Butts will fill the seats for our last home game against TN. My a$$ won’t be though.

You're probably right, but I just can't see why. We have a 0% shot of winning that game. Not only do we not have a shot, there's nothing interesting about us. It's not like when we had Taneyhill and he was a draw even though we might get killed. You never knew when he might go off and throw for 400 yards. There's nothing we do that makes us worth watching.

Hey that will really impress recruits if fans stay home now won`t it? You want a better team then suggest shooting ourselves in the foot to make better players want to go somewhere else.
Really? That’s your argument? It’s a crap offense if you want to call it an offense. The team has checked out. UT will drop 60 on us in our own place. Beamer will look lost like Brad used to. You don’t think that’ll have an impact on recruiting?

Well that with an empty stadium would harm us more. I sat through every home game Holtz first year. It was inspiring to see a full house and passion. Truly believed that helped the next year’s greatest turn around in college history at the time. So it’s a combination of both. Players want to win, but not in an empty stadium. Fan support is a magnet also.

Different time now. Much more expensive. Many more alternatives. Most teens are much more fun to watch and, in the end, it’s all about entertainment. The fact is it’s a crap product. After 2 years, I’ve seen enough. I’ll spend my time, attention and money elsewhere. This is still a free country, right?

A good recruit sees early playing time as a positive. Playing in front of packed houses makes it more appealing. Now if you are losing, have no fans, and your big draw is you may fire a coach…..you aint changing crap. I don’t go to many games any longer due to distance and such. I agree it’s expensive. My point is intentionally not going thinking you will make the team better is it’s not true. You’re simply asking to start over and over. Beamer has a chance….we will know shortly as there better be so real improvement next year or the seat gets real hot

I tried last night to convince my best friend not to go, without success.
I must admit, I'm completely baffled by his decision. He is totally disgusted with the team, feels confident that we lose by 60, and yet ......

If you think you will have fun for those 3 or 4 hours, by all means, go to the game.

Unfortunately we are not a good team by any stretch right now. Special teams have really been solid and stepped up. Offense and defense is very poor. Hopefully the future will get better. We will see.

The tickets are already purchased so not being there means nothing to our AD.
Disagree. Empty seats sends a message.

Massive difference. I was at all of those too. You could see growth as the year progressed. I’ve seen zero growth in nearly 2 seasons. We actually look worse.

Are the coaches too comfortable under Beamer? Making all that money and thinking I don't have anything to worry about, my job is secure. I doubt anybody under Saban is comfortable knowing if your arse doesn't perform you will be let go. Beamer needs to make an example not only out of Satterfield but also for any other coach that is not preparing a game plan each and every week.

My interpretation is Beamer is more focused on building a family atmosphere than a championship team because he thinks the former begets the latter. I disagree. Assistants under ppl like Spurrier and Saban are answerable.

Seeing us get embarrassed by our number one rival (that they would be playing every year) in front of thousands of aloof fans hopping to Sandstorm might turn off some recruits.

I would hate to see it. But vacated seating sections forces the powers to be to act. It’s bad press and reflects on them. The powers to be being Ray Tanner.
Packed stadium or not. I don’t think any top recruit wants to play on a team that can’t score TDs. We have to get out leadership right at USC first.
