As a College Recruit

Rare athlete with the skill level and athleticism to make an impact as a corner, safety or wide receiver. Movements are both silky and explosive. Possesses elite fluidity and hip looseness. A two-way starter at both safety and wide receiver. Measures in at 6-foot, 175 pounds with a 6-foot-3 wingspan. Tested off the charts during the spring camp circuit prior to his senior season by jumping a 34-inch vertical as well as an absurd 11'5" foot broad jump. The high-end combine athleticism shows up on the field in spades. An extremely twitchy, bouncy mover. Play speed jumps off the screen. Also shows the ability to easily elevate in-air. Has outstanding overall ball skills as a defensive back prospect. Picked off six passes in each of his final two seasons of high school football and finished with 660 receiving yards and seven touchdowns as a wide receiver as a senior. Also quite physical, showing the ability to deliver bone-jarring strikes over the middle of the field. Is not afraid of contact and detonates opponents at the point of attack. Has considerable versatility as a defensive back prospect with the ability to move around several spots depending on need and defensive scheme.

Like Alontae Taylor, Vicari Swain is a highly explosive athlete capable of playing on either side of the ball as a defensive back or wide receiver with his highest upside likely being on defense.

Vicari Swain a big riser in updated On300

Charles Power

Swain is one of the twitchiest defenders in the 2023 cycle. The Carrollton, Georgia native posted an eye-popping 11’6″ broad jump (in socks!) back at the Atlanta Under Armour Camp in February. Swain continued to show that explosiveness as a senior, making big plays as a defensive back and receiver. The athleticism and ball skills register on the high end among potential defensive backs it the cycle.
