OU has a new kicker.

Florida State grad transfer Tyler Keltner has announced his commitment to the Sooners. Keltner spent one season at Florida State, where he was not the starter and only kicked one extra point.

Before his time in Tallahassee, Keltner spent four years at East Tennessee State. At ETSU, Keltner was a two-time All-Southern Conference kicker going 56-of-74 on field goal attempts and 131-of-131 on PATs. He has a career-long of 54 yards and ranks second at ETSU in career points with 299.

OU has been on the hunt for a kicker in the transfer portal. The Sooners struggled this season at placekicking, with starter Zach Schmit missing several field goals in key situations. Schmit was 15-of-21 this season on field goals, going 4-of-6 from 30-39 yards and 2-of-5 from 40-plus yards. In his three years at OU, Schmit is 28-of-40, with his career-long being 46. He has not missed an extra point in his career, going 124-of-124.

OU has no landed eight players in the transfer portal since the end of the 2023 season:
