I can complain since it’s in the moment but if I try to be positive, they did have the lead at the half and Tobias played great and Maxey played well. Also, I didn’t think they were going to win without Joel. If they lose both games on the road all that means is the Heat did what they were supposed to do and IF Joel is back for game 3 at home with that crowd and they can win that game, we might have a long series where you hope Joel gets more comfy with each game. I feel like everything is going to hinge on game 3.

I think the Heat are beatable but only with Joel. Fingers crossed he’s healthy enough to play game 3.

I’m coming to believe the Sixers are the subject of some kind of curse. I thought they had a decent shot at the NBA Finals after they picked up Harden (and dumped Simmons), but with Embiid now going down? Fuggetabbouttit. Stick a fork in ‘em. Sigh …
Don't ever get your hopes up with a Philly sports team. Never fails that when the hype is huge, they go down in flames.

Boy, Niang had a good two seconds to set himself for a corner three, missed badly. Whoa.

Yeah they can’t keep up with Miami when Herro is hitting 3’s at this clip against this bench lineup and the Sixers can’t throw it in the ocean. Glen went deep in the bench and it’s been a train wreck. Furkan, Matisse, and Niang has been a frightening experiment I never wanna see again.

Is there a reason Glen decided to sit both Joel & James? All season he has had them split when the other sits. Turnovers and ball handling issues to close the quarter.

Sixers up 7 at the half DESPITE all the turnovers, giving up a $hitload of offensive rebounds, and Maxey and Tobias haven’t done anything. Sets up for what I hope is going to be a pull away second half.

lots of craziness in this game. The Heat have trouble guarding Embiid, but the Sixers (excluding Harden) have had trouble passing the ball in to JoJo. Maxey is having the worst offensive game I've seen from him in the playoffs. Harden did a lot of positive things in the 1st half, but I think he's up to 4 personals, so he's on the bench.

Embiid, Harden, and Danny Green (who is on fire shooting 3s) have almost all of the offense for the Sixers.

57-53, Sixers, with 4:01 left in the 3rd qtr.

68-65 at the end of the 3rd qtr. The Heat outscored the Sixers in the 3rd, 31-27.

Well, I think developments have forced me to edit my prior post; at least for the time being.

Embiid came back, and he managed to play pretty damn well even with that ginormous protective mask on his face. I don't know how he did it, but he did. And the Sixers managed to win Game 3. Maybe the curse will be lifted. My impulse is still to say "Nah," but you never know.

I have to admit that I didn’t see this in Harden. Also, the Sixers took the lead for good about halfway through the second quarter, that’s impressive.
