I think it could,as long as it’s not a loss to a bad teamESPN Bracketology currently has PSU as the last team in.
Assuming that's accurate, does a PSU win v. Maryland to close out the regular season basically cement a spot in the Big Dance, regardless of their Big Ten tourney performance, barring a ridiculous amount of otherwise non-dance-worthy squads snagging automatic bids?
Assuming that a higher seeded team would be the initial opponent in the BIG tournament? Still need to win one IMO.I think it could,as long as it’s not a loss to a bad team
So would we be better as the 11 playing Minnesota, or the 9 or 10 playing someone like MichiganAssuming that a higher seeded team would be the initial opponent in the BIG tournament? Still need to win one IMO.
Beating Minnesota does nothing for Penn State in regards to making the NCAA tournament. Penn State is probably much better off being the 10 and playing the seven. The only thing I could think of that it might be better is to get the win against Minnesota and then whoever the six seat is, it’s just a better matchup than whoever the seven seed would have been.So would we be better as the 11 playing Minnesota, or the 9 or 10 playing someone like Michigan

And Pitt is the #1 overall seed and the overwhelming favorite to win it all, over the entirety of the rest of the field's chances combined. According to friends, of course."Ah, but a man's reach should exceed his grasp, Or what's a heaven for?"
According to Gambitology, regardless of what ESPN might propound, we will need to beat Maryland and win 2 in the Big Ten Tourney to get in.
COVID Year? They haven't done that at the end of this season (or the last of the last 10 seasons), how do you think that's going to change tonight?
I mean, I wish . . .
Sweet so we’re in already"Ah, but a man's reach should exceed his grasp, Or what's a heaven for?"

Very good question. Tough call. I'll lean toward playing Michigan. So would we be better as the 11 playing Minnesota, or the 9 or 10 playing someone like Michigan
This is a team with what, three five year players. Doesn't look like the program is going anywhere. But, no big surprise.I'm not surprised this is the first in-game post. Who has the stomach to watch this team/program? I hope they'll bounce back but if they do I wont be there to see it. Down 35-22 at the half.
I lied. I am watching!Whatever happens, they have not quit. Admirable.
CrazyGoodness! Fair, looks like we were rewarded for hanging in there despite our early negativity!!!!!
OH MY GOD!!!!I lied. I am watching!
I’ll stop call Micah a chambers replayCrazy
Was ready to give up several times
First time I can recall being in tears over a BB win. When they’re good, they’re good.
When they’re bad, they are awful.
No tears here, but I did jump out of my chair.First time I can recall being in tears over a BB win.

That happens to me when I drink too much.Yeah, I almost fell out of my chair!
Moogy, I saw the opposite on Lundy’s shot. He looked to Funk but realized he had to get it up on the rim for an offensive rebound opportunity. Funk either made it or we lose if he passed. Actually a good decision by Seth and great crash of the boards to knock the ball loose. After the last debacle, I thought to myself, Seth knows not to take this last second shot, right?
Then he took it, and I audibly yelled out (and I NEVER audibly cheer or comment on a game on TV), "HOW?!? WHY?!?"
Thank goodness for small miracles.
As far as I'm concerned, I think we're in to the Big Dance. A win in the Big 10 tourney would put any doubt to rest ... but I think we've already made it.
We'll see.
Not really….other than a couple games, we had a shot to win every game we played in this year. When they’re good, they’re good.
When they’re bad, they are awful.
On CBS Steve Lappas, iirc, called PSU a lock. I'll feel better if Indiana beats Michigan.
All I'm saying is, after his 1-for-57 (or whatever it was) performance in that epic collapse against Rutgers, and the fact that he took, and missed, a bunch of 3 near the end of that game, I don't want to see Lundy take a "meaningful" shot for a long, long time. I get it ... shooters shoot ... and he's always been streaky, where he can't hit poo for awhile and then all of a sudden he can't miss ... but that Rutgers game was too much for me.Moogy, I saw the opposite on Lundy’s shot. So was I.Hell of a finish.
Myles Dread was in tears in the post game court presser. So was Shrew. Quite an emotional win.
