As recent as in 17-18 season, we beat OSU 3 times.
Actually Illinois Northwestern Indiana then Purdue is about as favorable as anyone could have asked for!
Are we in the Dance regardless of what happens in the Big Ten tourney? Actually, I think we are one of the 68!
Not necessarily. Depends on what happens in other conference tournies. Say Team A is lock (and ranked higher than PSU). Team A loses in its conference tournament and Team B, who no one expected, wins. Both Team A and Team B go to the dance, taking up an at-large spot. Happens X times, and it can, the last X teams in are out.
Depends on how many upsets in all the other conference tournaments.
Personally I think if we beat Illinois we are in!
ESPN’s Lunardi puts us into the 64 (meaning, we’d skip the First Four games).
Yup, yup. Now we just have to watch out for conference tourney upsets. Regardless, a 3rd win against the Illini, who match up poorly against us, would put this puppy to sleep. I do hope, however, that we win 2 in the Big Ten tourney, and Pitt flops out and misses the big dance, so that fairgambit can tell us how Pitt is somehow superior to us .. or, at least, that's what his "friends" tell him even though he's opted to ignore athletics and paint Pitt symbols with his wife.
Contingent on beating Illinois? This game worries me a little. The old it's tough to beat a team three times thing.
I guess this is always moving. We beat Illinois, we’re in the 64. We lose, we’re either in the 64 or in the 68. But we’re in, is my take.
Barring a bunch of bid steelers we should be in. Last night was good for us. Furman won their conference giving us another win against tournament teams. St. Mary's and Gonzaga won to block a bid stealer from the WCC.
I was going to post something along these lines but I didn’t like the idea of being the guy who is first but potentially not quite correct. UNC Asheville is 27-7, had to sweat out a close Big South final.

Michigan-Rutgers is a game to watch. Rutgers is Last 4 In, Michigan is Second 4 Out. If Michigan goes on a good tournament run, watch out. If they make the final, who’s to say where the cards are going to fall.

IMO the winner of Mich/Rut is in and the loser is out.
That said I don't understand Michigan. They had one more conference win than PSU but they are only 3-10 vs quad 1 and they only have 17 wins. How can they be so close?
