I fell asleep last night (getting old), watched the highlights this morning. Funk and Pickett- awesome. We got 8 pts from Njie!

Barkley (Chuck) and Kenny Smith complained A&M was under-seeded. Suck it!
That's OK. Should make the win look even better.

Tough one. Texas was a good defensive team, and some scrub who averages 9 a game goes for 28 for them. Still, Funk hits either of those open threes late, and maybe they win.

Just a poor shooting night all the way around…..I’m shocked the game was as close as it was. My only wish is that they would have adjusted the defense to make someone else beat them….that dude was on fire and we just kept letting him take 8 foot jumpers.

Rough night for Pickett: 5-13 from the field, 1-3 3s and 1-3 from the line. Unfortunately 7 of 9 PSU turnovers. A real warrior with 10 rebounds but 4-5 misses at the rim hurt tonight.

He’s gotta be so tired he’s gonna sleep for the next week.

KUDOS…..the Lions gave Texas all they could handle!

Well, it was a fun season. These guys gave us everything they had all year and for guys like Lundy and Dread, they sacrificed for this program for years! Proud of what this team did! Now it's time to hope this administration is able to hold onto its budding star in Coach Shrewsberry and start building a program that can contend for B1G titles.

WE ARE!!

Great season. Now lock up the coach long term and start building something respectable year in and out. Psu can field a good basketball program in the middle of centre county.

Going by how they have played in March, you could argue this is a top 25 team for sure.
Totally agree. One three anyway from Purdue and two away from Texas. One 3 more from Funkytown and 1 from Dread and we’re moving’ on. I know it is woulda shoulda but it goes to your point. Really good effort and team at the end. Impressive job by all to blend and maximize strengths.

I thought they had them when they went up by three. But, the shooting was just not there last night, and too may untimely turnovers. Also, some picky foul calls on Pickett didn't help.

Credit to the texas coach for the late timeout. PSU had the momentum. Not only did the timeout give texas a chance to settle down, but their coach evidently chose the correct strategy to get them back in the game — give the ball to Disu. PSU had no answer for him.

So, next year's relevant roster is potentially:

GUARDS:
Kanye Clary
Dallion Johnson
Jameel Brown (where's he been all year?)
Braeden Shrewsberry
Logan Imes

FORWARDS:
Seth Lundy (I'm guessing he leaves)
Evan Mahaffey
Caleb Dorsey
Carey Booth

CENTERS:
Kebba Njie
Demetrius Lilley

That's likely going to be a very rough year, barring Shrewsberry dipping heavily into the transfer portal once again. The question is, if Shrews does go heavy on the transfer portal, will the youngsters transfer out, seeing as their time may be very limited?

We’re going to need some veteran help from the portal with that roster. I don’t see a lot of scoring. Look for a few more shooters to transfer in.

Credit to the Texas coach for scoring 12 points on out of bounds plays after time outs or TV breaks. It killed us!

I guess that’s one way of evaluating someone’s coaching ability.
It is something that is not taken serious enough. I always thought of OB plays like special teams play in football. The Texas coach seems to have done a pretty good job after the cluster mess they had earlier in the year. My guess is he will be a HC next year.

If Texas doesn’t name him Head Coach this week they’re crazy!
