Jeeze I must have missed something there with Beau (or maybe the clock was lagging?) I thought he gave up the escape AND RT for the tie... I guess they didn't award the escape... Nice win, fought for it

149 R1: Beau Bartlett vs. Colin Realbuto (UNI) (I'll use CR)

Per 1
Nothing thru 1 min. CR sort of shoots, nothing. CR in on a leg, they scramble, and a PD stoppage at 13 sec left. End

Per 2
Beau takes bottom. Beaut up back down. To his feet again, and CR has the leg, then releases, then has the leg again and a 5 count on CR so it's a stall call and a stoppage @ 1:27 left. Beau to his feet, tries a roll, CR hangs on to an ankle as they scramble, and a stalemate with 1:04 left. Beau works to a 4-pt, nearly kicks free but CR maintains control. , and finally Beau is out, 1-0. End. RT is over 1 min for CR

Per 3
CR takes bottom. He sits out then to his feet, and is returned. CR to his feet again, and he's out, 1-1. RT @ 1:15 for CR. Stoppage for ?? with 1:25 left. Beau shoots but CR with a counter on the legs, they scramble, and CR is awarded the TD then a stalemate with 1:03 left, 1-3. Beaut to his feet, returned, stall warning on CR makes it 3-2 with 42 sec left. Beaut to his feet, and he's out with 24 sec, 3-3. Beau snaps down on the head and gets the TD with 10 sec left, 5-3. End. With RT, it's a 5-4 DEC for Beau!!!!!
Huge win there

UNI coach certainly wanted it but not awarded.

Ok. Makes sense now. Thanks!

157 R1: Brady Berge vs. Hunter Willits (Oregon St) (I'll use HW)

They do a quick mat clean before the match.

Per 1
HW looks active early (at least with his feet). Berge reaches, nothing. HW shoots a head inside single, gets in, but Berge just straightens up and ends that. Nothing thru 1:30. Collar ties and a stalemate with 1:04 left. HW shoots and gets a low single but Berge kicks out. Collar tie dance. HW shots on the edge, and they are OOB with 13 sec left. End

Per 2
HW takes bottom. HW hits a quick sitout, Berge stayed with him but HW with the esc, 0-1. OOB with 1:34 left. 1 min left. Berge with a semi-shot, nothing. And another, nothing. End

Per 3
Berge takes bottom. Berge to his feet, is returned. He works back up and is nearly out but returned, then a 4 count on HW on the lower leg but no stalling, then OOB with 1:17 left. RT @ 37 sec for HW. Caution on HW for the restart. RT moved to 44 sec, so now the officials have a talk with the table. Taking a long time to get it resolved. Berge to his feet tries to kick out, nearly does, then tries again, and a stall call against HW for the lower leg with 55 sec left. RT @ 59 sec for HW. RT goes over 1 min. Berge to his feet, and he's out, 1-1. RT @ 1:13. 30 sec left. HW in on a low single, Berge sprawls, and stalemate with 12 sec left. Berge shoots but HW just avoiding. Berge dives for a low single but the buzzer sounds. With RT, it's a 1-2 loss for Berge.

Damn

We should have a wait here, as PSU has no 165 at NCAAs, and CStar will have to wait on a prelim match winner to reach the required time between matches.

Lewan was 4 seconds away from going down and we needed it. Instead he pulled it out.

The ESC was after time ran out. The clocks on the screen are not always the exact time. The assistant ref came in to verify that time had run out.

It sucks that BB and DH lost, but realistically no one was picking them to make it past the second round. Hopefully they both come out with some fire in the wrestle backs and score some points there.

Not being able to sustain a ride in the top position really hurt Berge. Needed to run some RT clock

I'm disappointed that 1) they lost, and 2) neither showed a lot of offense. Losing the advancement points hurts the team race, but as you noted, it would have been a huge upset if either had won their R2 match.

Hopefully, they'll make the most of it and get active in consolations.

So I missed the Lee match doing PBP on the RBY match. I did hear Ironhead, and he seemed to feel that a TD should have been awarded to Lee which might have gotten him a TF. For those that watched the end of the match, did Byers have a legitimate beef, or was it not really a TD?

wow, Austin O'Connor loses in SV, 2-8. First national champ from last year to fall at this year's NCAAs

There was no TD.

Kinner is very tough. He rode Nick out I believe in the last dual of the year. He is a hard guy to score on and seems to have leveled up since leaving tOSU.
