174 R1: CStar vs. Connor O'Neill (Rutgers) (I'll use CO)

Per 1
CStar in on a double and gets the TD, 2-0. CO to his feet and CStar cuts him, 2-1. OOB with 2:11 left. CStar Snaps the head down, and jumps behind for the TD, 4-1. He looked as though he tried to hit a cradle during the TD. CO to his feet and out, 4-2. CStar in on a double and worked a leg lace but no NF, 6-2. CStar working for a tilt, but CO not being all that cooperative. CO tries a roll, and they are OOB with 1 sec. Oh, he must have gotten 2 NF -- my bad. 8-2

Per 2
CO takes bottom. RT goes over 2 min. CStar working all kinds of things to try to get a tilt but CO is staying flat. Eventually, CStar pretty much cuts him. CStar shoots on the edge, and CO backs off, so that's a stall call for a point, 9-3. CStar in on a TD, 11-3, and trying to tilt him, and stoppage for locked hands on CStar, 11-4. CStar didn't seem to like the call. CStar turns him but they roll thru. End. RT @ 3:17

Per 3
CStar takes bottom. He's up and returned. He grabs an ankle and works back, and then spins and gets the reversal, 13-4. RT is locked. CStar cuts him, 13-5, and CStar immediately in for the TD, 15-5. Tnen cuts him, 15-6 and CStar in on a double and the TD as they go OOB with 1:06 left, 17-6. CO tries a sitout, and they are OOB with 41 sec left. CStar gives a neutral resort so it's 17-7. CStar immediately in for a TD, 19-7, and then locks a cradle and has him tilted, and gets the pin with 22 sec left!!!!!!

Edit: He lost the cradle after he had him on his back; didn't want anyone to think I was indicating him pinned him with a cradle

Kemdawg wins 4-0 against the 28 seed. He does not look like a guy who can win a title.

149 R1: Beau Bartlett vs. Colin Realbuto (UNI) (I'll use CR)

Per 1
Nothing thru 1 min. CR sort of shoots, nothing. CR in on a leg, they scramble, and a PD stoppage at 13 sec left. End

Per 2
Beau takes bottom. Beaut up back down. To his feet again, and CR has the leg, then releases, then has the leg again and a 5 count on CR so it's a stall call and a stoppage @ 1:27 left. Beau to his feet, tries a roll, CR hangs on to an ankle as they scramble, and a stalemate with 1:04 left. Beau works to a 4-pt, nearly kicks free but CR maintains control. , and finally Beau is out, 1-0. End. RT is over 1 min for CR

Per 3
CR takes bottom. He sits out then to his feet, and is returned. CR to his feet again, and he's out, 1-1. RT @ 1:15 for CR. Stoppage for ?? with 1:25 left. Beau shoots but CR with a counter on the legs, they scramble, and CR is awarded the TD then a stalemate with 1:03 left, 1-3. Beaut to his feet, returned, stall warning on CR makes it 3-2 with 42 sec left. Beaut to his feet, and he's out with 24 sec, 3-3. Beau snaps down on the head and gets the TD with 10 sec left, 5-3. End. With RT, it's a 5-4 DEC for Beau!!!!!

Going to be very tough at 141 next year.

Ref's challenge on Mat 1, so Brooks on Mat 1 and Dean on Mat 6 could be wrestling on the same time. @GregPickel, in the event that they wrestle at the same time, I'll take whichever one starts first and do PBP, and you take the 2nd one, okay?

Runyon with the pin on mat 1 and says something and a little shove after the fall. The OU guy was not happy and had some words. A lot of words.

197 Max Dean vs. Will Feldkamp

First period
Dean is the aggressor early and he scores a takedown as the two go off the edge for a 2-0 lead.Feldkamp escapes then Dean takes him down and goes for the bow and arrow nearer the edge of the mat and it leads to a nearfall count and he almost had a fall but Feldkamp rolled through. It's 8-1 Dean as he starts a ride before the period ends.

Second period
Dean throws Feldkamp to his back from neutral and gets the count going again, it's four more nearfall points and a 12-1 lead. He's riding now on the outside of Feldkamp. Another bow and arrow attempt for Dean and he tilts for four more nearfall points and a 17-1 technical fall victory. with riding time.

Dean wins by technical fall 17-1 in the second.

184 R1: Aaron Brooks (AB) vs. AJ Burkhart (Lehigh) (I'll use AJ)

Per 1
AJ with a shot, nothing. AB snaps down and nearly hits a cradle but has to settle for the TD, 2-0. AB basically cuts him 2-1. AB in on a single to a double, lifts him and brings him to the center of the mat for the TD, 4-1. AB has hm flattened. AJ works up slowly but AB flattens him again. End. RT @ around 2 min

Per 2
AB takes bottom. AB to his feet. He's up, and out, 5-1. He gets a low single, reaches over for the other leg, then they scramble but AB with the TD, 7-1. RT goes back over 2 min, and AJ is flattened. AJ to his feet, and AB cuts him, 7-2. AB with a quick single for a TD, 9-2. End RT @ 3:23 for AB

Per 3
RT is locked. AJ takes bottom. He cuts him, 9-3. AB with an ankle pick but loses. Stall call on AJ for a point, and then a TD by AB, 12-3. AB out in front and gives up an esc, 12-4. Then a quick TD and a release, 14-5. AB with another TD, and a release, 16-6. AB with another TD, 18-6, and tries for a cradle, then cuts him 18-7, and a double for a TD, 20-7. He tries a bow-and-arrow but runs out of time. With 4:32 in RT, it'a a 21-7 Major for AB!!

Our upper weights are just brutalizing guys. Kerk I am assuming will pin his guy in the first. There is a big margin between the top 5-6 HWT and everyone else.

Casual wrestling fan, so maybe it's not unusual, but Brooks carrying that kid casually to the center of the mat, over his shoulder....was comical
Thought he put him down rather gently. That was nice

You don't see that a lot with 184 lbers. That said, if you lift the guy in the air, you are responsible for how they are returned to the mat. If you slam them down, you can be penalized and if if you slam them down too hard you can lose on a disqualification.

It appears that Mat assignments for 285 are being down rather slowly. It's the end of the session, so I guess they are waiting to see which mats have quick endings. Anyway, no assignment for Kerk yet
