PBP: I'll provide PBP. I encourage everyone to participate in discussing each match, providing your insight, asking your questions, and expressing your frustration with a move, with a ref's decision, with the outcome, etc. @GregPickel will also be providing information. Mat assignments are somewhat easier for the semifinals, but assistance with mat assignments for upcoming PSU bouts (usually available from the TrackWrestling link listed above, or the Penn State Wrestling twitter account) are always appreciated. Collectively, we've made this work for everyone in the past, and I'm sure we'll do the same this year.

The 21-22 version of the Iowa Hawkeyes is a good example of wrestling 30-40 matches a year for 6, 7, or even 8 years. Spencer Lee should think twice about coming back another year. He should start next year as a graduate assistant and then look for full time coaching job. That is…….if he wants to walk when he’s 40.

I enjoyed the hoops loss. Go Richmond Spiders.
One of my closest friends is a graduate of Richmond. I told him in a text that Richmond would never make it in the Big 10. Unbeknownst to me, he saved the text, and favored me with a response within minutes of the final. He had the last laugh.

I believe this is correct. Reaching the semis guarantees a finish of no worse than 6th which is good for six team points. Winning the semi obviously guarantees a finish of no worse than 2nd which is good for 12 team points. The PSWC team scores reflect all this if a certain number of points are clinched.

So yes, winning the semi guarantees six more team points above the potential sixth place finish. 6+1 for advancement.
