Before our boys start can somebody remind me as to what happened between Suriano and PSU?
Here's how @Michnit put it the other day:

"It’s a long, long story, but short version he gets hurt. Cael & PSU looked at the situation one way & the kids dad another."

Always a tough match between these two

Another stalemate with 1:17 left. AD shoots, nothing. RBY shoots, nothing. 45 sec left. Stalemate with 38 sec left. End

Per 2
RBY defers, and AD takes bottom. Ad with a roll and he's out in 7 sec, 0-1. RBY shoots, blocked, then shoots again and steps over and exposes but doesn't have the TD; crazy scramble. Stalemate with 44 sec left. RBY reaches, nothing. End. RT @ 7 sec for RBY

Per 3
RBY takes bottom. Caution on AD. RBY to his feet, but they are OOB with 1:46 left. RBY works up, lifted, and they are OOB with 1:29 left. RBY works up, lifted, hits a roll but AD stays with him, on the edge, and he's out. RT @ 44 sec for AD, and it's 1-1. 1 min left. RBY will face Daton Fix, as he bested McGee, 5-1

A repeat of last year's final.

RBY understands DeSanto so well. RBY stays back and doesn't make mistakes, all the while DeSanto wears himself out. Then when DeSanto is vulnerable he shoots and wins. Perfectly played!

I give DeSanto and Iowa's coaches some credit. They keep changing the gameplan, and come up with new ways to frustrate RBY. DeSanto shot a lot in their dual, forcing RBY to do a lot of defense. This time, DeSanto didn't shoot too much -- he spent a lot of time controlling RBY's right arm, or controlling his head.

RBY to ESPN: "For of all, I have to thank him because he pushes me. I've wrestled him eight times now. Back in the finals now. I have to find a way. Just happy and grateful. It's awesome. Lot of hard work. And one more match tomorrow. Just get ready for that. But, I'm excited right now."

141 Semis: #1 seed Nick Lee vs. #4 seed Real Woods (Stanford)

Hmm, Byers says Real Woods has yet to give up a point at this year's NCAAs. I think that streak is about to end.

Per 1
Woods tries a shug-bye, nothing. Lee sort of shoots, nothing. Lee reaches, nothing. Lee reaches, nothing. Lee in on a single, to a double, and gets the TD on the edge, and OOB with 1:01 left, 2-0. Woods sits out, Lee stays with him. Woods to his feet, and then turns in for the esc, 2-1. 30 sec left. Lee reaches, nonting, then Woods shoots, and Lee counters but the buzzer. End RT @ 27 sec for Nick

Per 2
Woods defers, and Nick takes bottom. He hits a roll and then to his feet, then tripped down and back up and turns and he's out, 3-1. OOB with 1:32 left. Lee reaches, nothing. Woods seems to be frustrating Nick by controlling his head. Lee shoots, nothing, but a stall warning on Wood. End. RT @ 17 sec for Nick

Per 3
Woods takes bottom. Blood stoppage for Nick. Woods sits out, to his feet, then tripped down. Woods sits out again and to his feet, and tripped back down. Lee working for a cradle or something, but doesn't get it, and then Woods to his feet for the esc, 3-2. Damn, RT @ 59 sec for Nick. 1 min left. Lee sort of shoots, but blocked. Woods looks tired, and just like that he reaches. 20 sec left. Wood reaches, nothing. Wood shots wildly, and there's the buzzer. Lee back to the finals with a 3-2 DEC

a 3-2 decision that felt like a dominant match.

The color coding didn't transfer but note that N.C. State and Va. Tech are mathematically eliminated.

RBY is so gracious and respectful of his opponent when interviewed after the match. That is a quality I would like to be better at. We could all learn from him.
Well said. Agree.

I'm going to take this opportunity to confess my sins...

I'm 51 years old and have only started watching wrestling regularly for the past few years. I am ashamed and disappointed that I haven't gotten into this sport much earlier. I wish I got my son into this sport. But he chose football and baseball. I don't know everything I'm watching - I still can't tell you how the hell Lee pinned his opponent earlier today - but I'm learning. The whole team and individual concept is pretty crazy. I forget who the wrestler was, but it was a HWT going against Snyder of OSU and I remember cheering that he didn't lose by bonus points, which preserved the team win. I've never cheered for a PSU athlete who was losing.

Wrestling is a great sport and I regret not paying attention to it decades ago. Better late than never, I guess..

Now, the long wait to 174 begins. And I don't really mean for us. I mean for our dog, who doesn't understand why the peanut butter bone I brought down so she leaves me alone from 174-285 isn't hers yet.
There are some guys to cheer for in the meantime. Monday @ 157 and O'Toole @ 165. Both are up against lower seeded Michigan wrestlers and a couple losses by the bad guys would be huge. Even one loss would be awesome.
