The biggest question I have for Thomson is Nola game 6 or game 7 with extra rest day assuming it’s 3-2 Philly after 5.

If this thing gets to 6, you pitch Nola. No doubt. Let tomorrow worry about itself!

Nola on 4 day rest v. extra day of rest have been very different. He is right now about 40 innings over last year and has also exceeded his career high at this point in innings. I think Nola has to tell you. It’s their makeup to always take the ball but I think it’s worth having a discussion.

A side note to this discussion -- in the normal schedule, Nola would throw on the side/a bullpen session today. There are murmurings that he may do that for an inning in tonight's game 4.

@MrTailgate is correct about Nola's record on 5 days rest being better than his record on 4 days rest. And while I think they would consider that, I think you pitch him in G6 if you can wrap it up (the Phils) in that game.

Fightins tie it up 4-4 in the bottom of the 4th on a single by Stott (he got thrown out at 2nd on the play). I believe the Phils were 0-3 in the game with RISP, but Stott got the job done.

Syndergard only gives up a single in the top of the 6th. We're heading to the bottom of the 6th with the Phils up 8-6

Robertson is warming up in the bottom of the 6th. I would have hoped they got more innings from Syndergard.

Syndergard gets Nola out, then gives up a single to Profar. The Phils decide to go to the 'pen, and Robertson is coming in.

Robertson strikes out Bell with 2 on to end the top of the 7th. Still 9-6, Fightins as we head to the stretch.

You got two screens going?

no.

I have:

- PSU game on my TV
- every commercial, stoppage, etc., I switch to the NL NCLS
- I have Jones & Hamm streaming on my computer
- I have MLB GameDay running on my computer so I can follow the baseball game while I'm watching PSU
- my wife is upstairs watching the Phillies, and I hear her roaring her approval every time the Fightins do something good

I also have a bunch of Twitter accounts open in browser windows, which is how I post highlights in this thread as well as in the PSU - Minny game thread.

And I thought following two screens was tough!
