Argentina wins with penalty kicks. If the Brazil-Croatia match was a 10/10, this was a 7.

man eff penalty kicks

and in particular eff penalty kicks where the dude stutter steps or slows down or stops and makes the keeper react, that's a load of bs

Huhhh, I found this one even more entertaining. Incredible matches....both of them. The ref kind of made it about him, but other than that that was 2 teams battling for it all.

England vs. Portugal and Croatia vs. Argentina........Dare we dream of a Messi vs. Ronaldo final to settle the debate once and for all. One can dream. Hopefully Morocco and France don't ruin the dream.

Played soccer since I was 6 and always thought it was a crap way to end a game. My favorite variation on the PK was a 2 on 1 (plus goalie). 2 offensive players start with ball at midfield. I don't recall if it was timed, or was stopped when the offensive play stopped moving forward (similar to hockey PS).
At least it was more indicative of the game than a free kick from 12 yds out.

I can't believe what I missed. I thought Argentina would win pretty easily. Damn. Back-to-back games decided by PKs.

I got home just as Kane was setting up for the penalty kick. Pretty sure I missed some great soccer football.

Stupid penalty by France in the box. Kane with another penalty kick. He missed! Still 2-1, France, 84th minute.
