So 5-star OT Kadyn Proctor, who is from Iowa and at one time verballed to Iowa, entered the portal, and look what happens:
He’s going to the portal before he even attends Alabama? I didn’t think it could get any more weird.

As much as I love seeing Bama in chaos this is insane. But, it’s self inflicted - allowing coaches to move whenever they want means the players should be allowed to too. So, eat it Bama.
I think he's an early enrollee, so he's still considered class of 2024, but he just started classes. The whole thing seems strange, but in his defense all the coaches that recruited him up and leave just as he's starting classes, so I can see why he might want to hit the portal.
Let me add a lot of this isn't about money or coaches - it's another opportunity to shout 'LOOK AT MEEEEEE!!!!' from recruits on social media. There is zero reason to transfer from a school before you even have any idea what your new coach is like. I saw one kid went from Bama to UTSA. WTF? This sport is truly dumb.

I have this gut feeling Ole Miss is going to be an underperforming train wreck of riches in 2024.
Kiffen doesn’t strike me as a person capable of quickly integrating such a haul of talent without messing something up.
Ole Miss and Ohio State will be interesting to see with their portal gains.
