What the hell is going on with mat 3? Murin and Omania 2-2 in the first and there is a stoppage with Murin wearing a hoodie getting a massage from Terry Brands.

Gilcher (10) of IU taking it to Mike Carr (7) of ILL 7-1 in the third. Some had Carr as a dark horse in this tournament.

EDIT: now 9-2 Gilcher.

AF with a late TD to go up 2-0. End of first. Garbage stall call on AF though. Start of second 2-0 Alex. AF takes down.

AF out. 3-0. Swing single for AF. Finishes and it's 5-0. AF riding tough. He cuts him and it's 5-1.

Head inside single for AF. Waterfall position. Stalemate. End of 2 with AF up 5-1. Buell takes down.

Lewan stalls his way to another victory. Just a cruddy way to wrestle. Looks like minny guy may have broken collarbone.

AF with another head inside single for a TD. 7-2 final for Alex. Buell looked a lot bigger and slowed down AF a little.

165 pounds: Alex Facundo, PSU vs. Stoney Buell, Purdue

First period
Wrestlers are feeling each other out in neutral for much of the first 90 seconds. Facundo takes the first shot, a single, but can't finish it and they break apart and remain neutral. Buell now shoots on a double that Facundo fends off and they're still standing with 39 seconds left in the first. Facundo now shoots on a single that he converts to a double and finishes for a 2-0 lead late in the first period. That's how it ends.

Second period
Facundo is down. he gets out in about 15 seconds for a 3-0 lead. Facundo now drops in on a great single and finishes it quickly to sell his lead to 5-0 as he starts a ride. Buell is now flattened out. Buell escapes to 5-1. Facundo back in on a shot, but a stalemate ends that. They end the second period in neutral. Facundo is up 5-0.

Third period
Buell takes bottom. He's out pretty quickly to 5-2.Facundo drops in on a single on the edge Buell is trying to fend it off and they go off the edge before the takedown is awarded. Facundo shoots but Buell skips away. There's a shot and takedown for Facundo. The Boilermaker was game today but not enough overtake Facundo, who wins by decision, 7-2.

Facundo d. Buell, 7-2.

Facundo in first was really feeling things out. He got in the attack later but needs better angles. He got caught underneath on shots and stalemated too many times.

And now, we wait. And wait. And wait some more. Lol.

Apologies for this being a dumb question but I assume they are only doing one round of wrestlebacks in this session. Does anyone know for sure?

Solid but not altogether impressive from Facundo. Needs to do more the next 2 rounds to keep pushing through.

So now we’re done until the next session? Steen will be the only one in wrestlbacks, right?

No. The quarterfinals are in this session, too. So, we're waiting for those, but we're still in 174 first round, so it'll be a bit until we get to 125 QFs. Then, after those, we'll have a round of wrestlebacks.

I thought it was one wrestlebacks and one more championship. Then session 2 would be wrestlebacks, championship, wrestlebacks

Do they do wrestlebacks first or 2 mats for them and 2 for championship?
