Murin took more shots than SVN. Hate him all you want SVN hasn’t figured him out yet.
And he still stalled the whole 3rd period.
B-O-R-I-N-G. Also, Max is a fifth yr senior, SVN is a redshirt freshman. What does that tell you about Max’s Iowa “development”?

Alternatively, you have to be willing to trust your offense can score and risk the counter. They want you to be scared of it. That’s the only way they win.
I’m confident in SVNs offense can get through. He doesn’t seem to be yet.
He's young. A lot of fans were hard on the team after the Iowa meet, but the experienced guys were fine. It takes time to be confident enough to wait them out. I think SVN should've pushed the pace a little sooner in the 3rd cause he might get the extra stalling calls, but you could tell Murin wanted nothing to do with him. The second he could grab a leg and hold on, he did. SVN will get there.

I’m fully with you there! After the first Iowa meet, when SVN lost the same match, we said the same thing essentially. The hope is from 1 to 2 he gets at least some of that confidence and improves, but he didn’t really seem to. Now we go to hoping he does for a potential round 3

It took Kerk 3-4 tries to get Cass. I'm not shying away from a 3rd at nationals.

Facundo wrestles an Iowa style. Looking to win close matches. He needs some angles in his attack. All he has is that ankle pick.

Guys...they're really young. Give them time.
I don’t have any doubt about them or their future potential, hope it doesn’t come off that way.
They both just have showed that promise already, and I thought they could take the next step here and now.
They haven’t taken it, so it feels a bit of a let down, even though it’s understandable.

This is their first big tournament with quality competition throughout. I think they'll both look better in 2 weeks.
