The only good way to watch this session is on BTN+. The semis will be split screen on BTN so that will be fine but with four mats you need BTN+.

Agreed. I have the quad box up and love it. Just the crowd noise and PA announcer is nice, too.
No. 9 Dylan Connell, Illinois vs. No. 8 Brian Soldano, Rutgers are going to SV on mat 1 for a shot at Aaron Brooks.
Boy, watching Lewan & then Brands literally do nothing to win gives ne an even greater appreciation for what Cael recruits & teaches. The difference between PSU wrestlers and pretty much every other team's philosophy is stark!

glad to see Facundo keep scoring rather than what we see too much of, get a lead, ride out the clock. One of the BTN guys mentioned it earlier in the session, one guy was going, going, going, ......was confident in his conditioning.
Nice to read the coverage while I’m on a break. Hard to believe that issues occurred once again with the audio stream.
133 pounds: Roman Bravo Young vs. Brody Teske, Iowa
First period
RBY is in quickly on a shot and finishes it for a 2-0 lead. He has a god ride going outside of Teske, who keeps moving underneath. Teske sits in and RBY continues to roll up the riding time but hasn't been able to turn him yet. RBY rides out the first period. He leads, 2-0.
Second period
Teske down to start. Quick escape and then lighting quick takedown from RBY to lead 4-1. Teske stands but RBY brings him back down to the mat and now starts a tilt for near fall points. It's two and a 6-1 lead. RBY now trying to lock up a side cradle and he appears to have it. He turns Teske to his back but can't get him all the way. there so he tries again late in the second period and gets two neaarfall but no pin. The second period ends with RBY up 8-1. But, it's really 9-1, as he has 4:09 in riding time. So, we'll use that as the score.
Third period
Neutral start. RBY shoots and scores. The takedown makes it 11-1. RBY cuts to 11-2 and now its Teske who gets in on a double briefly but RBY fends it off and instead has him caught in a cradle that he settles out of for a 13-2 lead with 30 seconds left. The two go flying off the mat with 23 seconds left. That's how the match ends. RBY had 5:06 in RT.

Couple of tie ups so far but otherwise lots of circling in the first. No scoring here after one.
Second period
Beau down to start second. Out quickly for a 1-0 lead.Beau in on a shot but can't finish it. Beau now up 2-0. Guess he got a stalling point. Can't say for sure, sorry. But that's the score after two.
Third period
Mattin is down. He's out to 2-1 with 1:30 left. Beau shoots on a single and finishes it on the edge for a 4-1. It ends 4-2.

Couple of tie ups so far but otherwise lots of circling in the first Murin drops in on single first and SVN somehow manages to fend it off by hoping on one leg. Impressive, impressive work by the second-year Nittany Lion. Murin is next to shoot though and does finish it this time for a 2-0 lead late in the first. SVN is quickly out though, to 2-1. That's how the first ends.

SVN down to start second. He hasn't got out yet as Murin has 52 seconds of RT. The Hawkeyue is now over a minute. SVN now turning in and working for a reersal perhaps. He settles for an escape and it's 2-2. That's the score after two

Murin is down. He's out to a 3-2 lead and still has 1:14 in RT. There is 1:30 left. SVN in on a single but Murin fends it off. Stalemate. They are neutral with a minute left. Stalling Mirin. 30 seconds left. Murin in on a single now on the edge with 20 seconds left. he hangs onto it and wins 4-2. 1:14 in RT for Murin.

Murin is as boring as watching grass grow. I never want to hear another Iowa mouth breather claim stalling ever again.
It's the way Murin wrestles. And most of Iowa. You gotta be patient because they all look for counters. Unfortunately, they're also really tough to take down so one mistake and you're in trouble. Some call it good defense. Most call it boring
Another SVN match where he is not aggressive, and it costs him. Mind boggling.
Murin took more shots than SVN. Hate him all you want SVN hasn’t figured him out yet.
Alternatively, you have to be willing to trust your offense can score and risk the counter. They want you to be scared of it. That’s the only way they win.
I’m confident in SVNs offense can get through. He doesn’t seem to be yet.
Big upset while we were watching SVN and Bartlett: No. 6 Nagano upset No. 3 Byrd in SV.
