Top Ten Individual Point Scorers:
1. Starocci (PSU-174) - 24.0
2. Parris (Michigan-285) - 23.5
3. Brooks (PSU-184) -23.0
3. Glory (Princeton-125) - 23.0
4. O'Toole (Mizzou-165) - 22.5
5. Alirez (No Col-141) - 22.0
5. Arujau (Cornell-133) - 22.0
5. Diakomihalis (Cornell-149) - 22.0
6. Bonaccorsi (Pitt-197) - 21.0
6. O'Connor (UNC-157) - 21.0

The rest of PSU:
Kerkvliet - 19.0
Haines - 18.0
Bravo-Young-17.0
Van Ness - 15.5
Bartlett - 14.5
Dean - 6.5

Just going off who I think could (not would) come back, we have 114 points returning. With luck and NIL, next year could be very good as well!
(CS-24, AB-23, Kerk-19, Levi-18, SVN-15.5, Beau-14.5.)
Excellent analysis right there.

Being a resident of the South Hills, it was great to see Nico Bonaccorsi from Pitt get his National Title last evening as well. He totally epitomizes the blue collar work ethic approach we still like to talk about.

…and great to see Lackawanna Trail’s Keith Gavin to get his first national champ as Pitt HC.

Not a historian but I think the 2 bigger margins of victory were 73.75 for Iowa 1986 (158.0-84.25) and 70.00 for OK State 2005. (153.0 - 83.0). Apologies if I missed one.

I haven't seen it discussed, but I was impressed with the post-match interviews of both Starocci and Brooks. Each of them focused on issues that might have made some folks uncomfortable -- Starocci on his personal goals and Brooks on his faith. But it wasn't the typical one-liners you get from many interviews ("I want to be the best I can be and make the Olympic team." "I owe it all to God.") Both young men spoke in detail: Starocci mentioning both the Olympics and MMA, including a reference to his likely competition pursuing his goals. Brooks entire interview was a promotional spiel for Christianity, including a reference to Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection. I'm sure his diss of Muhammad ruffled some feathers, but I admire his willingness to speak so openly about what is obviously a driving motivation in his life.

According to Cornell website, Vito was OW.
Yes, Grey was COTY too. I don’t know why it’s like pulling teeth to get that data. Those facts should be part of any normal article on the results of the championships. Yet every GD year it’s the same thing. “Who was OW? COTY?” Like this someone has to mine it from some obscure tweet or FB post.

Yep, I’ve been looking for that info too, it’s easier to get the nuclear launch codes.

yeah, I didn't see it anywhere. And with ESPN cutting away for the awards coverage, it wasn't easy to find.

Byers reported it at the end of the audio stream, and I should have posted it. I was so busy trying to find the end of the PSU MBB game, and then find tweets from the end of the Session to post, that I didn't think to pay a lot of attention to the award winners. @SetonHallPirate has tweeted the awards winners (or reported it; can't remember which) most years after the end of the wrestling, but he didn't tweet it out this year.

One would think it would be on the ncaa website.

I was thinking Brooks could also go for 5 but I could be wrong
Pretty sure Brooks is only 4. He lost the same year of eligibility that Hall and Joseph did. The only other person that would have had the chance was Carr but he lost the last 2 years.

Among the actual photos of each weight class podium and the 8AA's didnt they take them this year?
TV usually broadcast shots of the podium for individual weight classes in between the championship bouts. Didn't happen this year.
