So, will JPJ still go in the 1st round?
I assume he will just based on what everyone said about him last season. He drove me nuts at times, but of course that was because I held him to high NFL draft pick standards based on what everyone said. If everyone didn’t say that I would have thought he was awesome.

I wonder if his lack of interceptions became a concern for teams?

Giants move up to the #24 pick, and take Deonte Banks, CB, Maryland.

They did need help in the secondary

What channel is the draft? I am watching a bunch of dudes in fancy clothes and jewelry…it might be the Grammys or Oscar’s or something like that. I didn’t realize that all these fancy people are so religious. I wonder if they give 10% of their earning to their churches?
Most of the players I saw wore some kind of diamond pendant, worth at least $10k, I’d say, though I really don’t know. I couldn’t help thinking of the numerous stories of pro athletes going broke five years after they retire.

Necklaces for men seem to be the new status symbol. SMH. I rarely do these get off my lawn posts but SMH. (MLB allowing necklaces on the field is just a joke, just taking the opportunity here.) Well, have a good day and don’t forget to contribute to the Friday jukebox! Now, off to the gym!

Anyone surprised Levis didn’t go in the first round? Not me. If he couldn’t beat out SC out for starter, with Clifford likely going to be an UDFA. What does that say about Levis to the NFL front office people in charge of talent acquisition? Not that I have anything against Levis, and I actually like the guy, but to me he is no first round talent.

No problem with Levis here either but late in the ABC coverage last night, they gave the thoughts of an anonymous GM. This GM felt the Levis hype was because of his 2021 tape but many chose to ignore the 2022 tape. This GM said he wasn't at all impressed with 2022 and he'd be reluctant to use a high pick on Levis. Regardless, it seems there is enough buzz surrounding him that he should be an early Day #2 pick.

Yeah, I'm not sure where the first round hype came from - his numbers at UK aren't as good as Clifford's, but he is a workout warrior and always has been. I heard some teams were weirded out by his personal habits but really, he just isn't that great of a QB. Not very accurate and as noted, couldn't beat out Clifford. His sister looked tremendous though he should consider suing whoever invited him to the draft....

Steelers are sitting pretty right now. I would hope they are taking lots of trade offers for guys like Levis, Hooker and JPJ and considering moving back a few spots to gain back at least the 4th they traded away. I would guess TB and Wash might want to move up to get WL.

Word is that his toe has been scaring people off. Edit: I only just now saw the post two spots above this.

I didn’t watch the draft last night. Did they continually show Levis sitting in the green room as he got passed over?

Toe schmoe. The strip sack and fumble trying to get a first down vs Ole Miss are just 2 of the glaring examples against him.

Go back to his "vaunted" '21 tape and watch Coen play the most conservative game ever vs UGA. I think he let Will throw more than 7 yards past the LoS 3 times before a win was unattainable. Everything was close and safe barring Levis goofing up badly.

Eagles made a tremendous move but it’s risky - if he gets his behavior in check it’s genius. But, he’s indirectly responsible for killing two people in a car race.

LionJim....Yep I left that out thus not to be overly "Get off my lawn" along with a specific undertone-;) It really bothers me, here's why...

Lets start with the clothes and jewelry===BE MODEST--your an Athlete not a Hollywood star or Musician ;)....most of your Audience doesn't like that look---most people think you look ridiculous and its not a great representation of your family name--mother or father or both.

The God stuff...sigh...stop being SHEEP....use your own words. Heres what you should say...

"I would like to thank my Mom and other family members, my youth coaches, my high school coach and the University of ABC." Why isnt their College Coaches or some mentor telling these boys that? Unless your really religious come on...I want them all to succeed...but some life skills in decorum is needed. And this is why Athletes wreck fast cars and have other issues off the field/court...SMH
