How about a little 2023 class conjecture..... Nice proposed class and position breakdown, although I'm in the camp that believes PSU does not need 2 safety's in the class and will likely more so use that scholarship on a LB, OL or DT especially since the LB Robinson could end up at DE and the LB roster is dangerously thin.....

CB is thin regionally this year and supposed to be loaded next year. Many think we need 3 this year, but 1 more (assuming Payne stays) and go portal if necessary.

WR and S is kind of up in the air right now. Definitely need 1 of each, but we got 3 or 4 guys who could end up at either spot and until they 1) get on campus and 2) get plugged in somewhere it's a tough read 8 months out.

Staff seems set on Webb at RB even though I think ON3 just rated Montgomery higher. Attrition this fall could change things here as well. Yesterday's podcast says wait until Montgomery 100 time comes in and something will happen there.

I think Avery is a DE all the way, regardless of what they say to keep him. If they think Robinson grows in a DE, I think might go 4 LB typed or a bigger S.

Kohl at QB instead of Stokes perhaps?

With only 1 CB in the 2022 and only King and Davis in 2021, and the exit of Porter and possibly others after the 2022 season, it would seem that this class should prioritize 3 CB's as well as possibly a CB from the Portal next Winter. CB is a position where the staff might have to look for a player or two from outside the north east.

We've heard that Flowers and Driver could play WR, but with the young WR's on the roster as well as the 4 true WR's in the 2022 class I believe Flowers and/or Driver would have to be the second coming of Godwin, ARob or Hamler to end up on offense - they may have a better chance to play LB or CB. And with Winston and Mills set at Safety in the 2022 class, and the move of Wheatley to Safety, the depth and youth at Safety seems as good as I can remember. It sure will be interesting to see where Flowers and Driver practice next Fall, as well as how Winston and Mills show out and how much Wheatley sees the field in games, even if only on special teams.

I always find it interesting to try and see how the staff views the depth and current roster as they assemble a recruiting class.....

And we've still got spring camp and summer attrition to follow. Who knows who comes, who goes.

Do you think we could take 2 RBs this class if Webb are Montgomery want in?

It's March. Everything is on the table at running back still. The only positions they really need to discuss as a staff at this point is tight end and offensive line.
