Well although they did not yet offer Florida, Miami, and FSU were all interested. They still may offer this summer. Also ND was interested but did not offer. I have a good feeling that we got in early on Stokes and his recruitiment is going to blow up this spring/summer.

Staff must have gotten some bad news from the first round of RB targets to extend so many new RB offers ........

Either that or there's been some feedback from one or more on the current roster that Singleton is too good to keep off the field......

All of them look like very good players. It would be great if any one of them were to come to PSU.

Yep, but there is a reason for the staff broadening their list of offers at a specific position, which is usually when they become aware that they may miss out on their first round of offers at that position.....

Eh, there is some truth to that statement but it's not totally the case. Webb seemed like target #1 and had shown serious interest - sounds like he's leaning UF lately but there have also been some questions if he's as good as everyone thought from his early film. Not really a power back, high-end speed is a question mark, seems solid but doesn't do anything in particular great. Staff seems to like the kid from Scranton, but need to see him on campus again.

A high-end RB was always going to be tough after the haul last cycle, not sure if it's even being prioritized.

Eh, sure, the staff doesn't prioritize getting the best player they can at every position..... That makes no sense.

Maybe they only want one RB in the class, but they sure want that one RB to be the best one they can get. And given that Franklin and his staff regularly identify top talent early in the cycle there is no reason to believe their initial RB offers are not their top priorities at the position.

With all the top 20 RB players still on the roster the staff may also be trying to broaden their offer list and develop relationships with a greater number of RB's in case they lose 1 or more RB's from the current roster before the 2023 signing day, which is next December after the 2022 season, and then want to include a 2nd RB in the class. Lots of reasons to explore additional RB's for the 2022 class, as there are at every position and as high school players continue to develop and the staff continues to evaluate film.

Read again. Slowly. So that you can grasp it. I never said that. I said the RB (in the grand scheme of the class) is not being prioritized - vs the likes of LBer, OL, etc. That does make sense and based on info out there, is true. There is not an explicit need to go all-in for any single RB in '23 because of Singleton/Allen.

It's April 15th, please don't start already with the "we missed out on everybody now they're just throwing offers out to plan Bs Cs Ds!".

So, Trotter’s kid picked WVU? Really? Are his grades that bad or is there a really rich NIL deal in Morgantown? How long before he transfers out like a lot of their players this offseason?

Read this slowly so you can grasp it. The staff prioritizes all positions, no matter the initial number that they seek to get commitments from initially based upon the current roster strengths and weaknesses numbers wise, because with the portal and current nature of college football the roster changes are more frequent. So that as the class fills out and some desired numbers for specific positions change the staff has already made relationships with enough players at each position where they still have options to adjust numbers in the class.

Read this slowly so you can grasp it, I never said that the players offered were plan B's or C's, or D's. I said that with the number of new offers specifically at RB IT COULD BE that they might have missed out on one or more initial of their initial priority targets. We'll never likely know. It also could be the result of the film review that they do in the Spring evaluation periods to try and adjust their targets based on new evaluations.

So please give your crying a rest.
