Whatever i added was enough to rustle your jimmies apparently. Sorry for that.Yet you felt the need to come in this thread and add nothing got it.
I would rather be the team to have won 2 going into the third game than the other way around. Never really understood that saying. I have been on both ends of that equation back in my younger days....You know the saying, it's hard to beat a team 3 times. Especially when you play them 3 times in the course of 3 weeks. A very emotional game, less than 24 hours to finish it.
We literally lost in the SEC tournament 2 years ago and still grabbed the brass ring.Better to win than to lose, but our recent form is disturbing. Either we will regain our dominant impetus or not grab the brass ring. How many teams have had winning streaks like ours two years in a row and wound up as bridesmaids? We've got to regain our earlier leverage.
UCONN, less than 10 years ago.How many teams have had winning streaks like ours two years in a row and wound up as bridesmaids?
In the grand scheme of things, this game was not that important. Of course, you want to win any time you lace them up. However, we are locked in as the #1 overall seed in the tournament. It would have been similar to the Kentucky loss two years ago. Aggravating, but an impetus to take care of business in the tournament.Better to win than to lose, but our recent form is disturbing. So this is your second post on this thread. The first was to taunt the board after the loss to Iowa. You sir are an A$$holeIs this supposed to be the pinnacle of women's basketball?
Unwatchable.
I don't think he's kin to the late, great Carolina Jones. So this is your second post on this thread. The first was to taunt the board after the loss to Iowa. You sir are an A$$holePlease never come back.
Giving up a 23-point lead in a friendly environment is concerning. What bothers me is is our offensive output in the clutch. To use the modern vernacular, we just stopped "scoring" the ball.In the grand scheme of things, this game was not that important. Of course, you want to win any time you lace them up. Agreed, it wasn't that important for us. However, it definitely was for Tennessee. What a devastating loss.In the grand scheme of things, this game was not that important. And won it last year, but didn't. Using that logic, I'm not going to concern myself about tomorrow's game and should not have cared one way or the other about this one - or even how we played, for that matter. Not too many teams get to go undefeated. The ones that do take their places in the highest pantheon of their sport. Is it wrong to want that?We literally lost in the SEC tournament 2 years ago and still grabbed the brass ring.

Fulwiley needs to play more. Yes, Dawn thinks Freshman need to sit and learn, but she is the most talented offensive player we have. She can create when the defense shuts down the set you tried to run. That will happen more as the competition stiffens.Giving up a 23-point lead in a friendly environment is concerning. No, but the ultimate goal is the NCAA title. And won it last year, but didn't. We've reached the point where the "dawgs" have to have all the minutes. We have enough "dawgs" to keep people rested.Fulwiley needs to play more. Undefeated takes care of that. After tomorrow, provided we win, it's the only thing that WILL take care of that. No, but the ultimate goal is the NCAA title.
Ad hominem attack aside, may I suggest the "ignore" button if my opinions are too agitating for your delicate palate? So this is your second post on this thread. The first was to taunt the board after the loss to Iowa. You sir are an A$$holePlease never come back.

We agree on this point. We're not climbing Mt Everest. Everyone should be rested enough to play a basketball game. We've reached the point where the "dawgs" have to have all the minutes. We have enough "dawgs" to keep people rested.

Kellie Harper's face expressed it all.Agreed, it wasn't that important for us. However, it definitely was for Tennessee. What a devastating loss.
I remember one season Notre Dame entered the NCAA Championship game undefeated, beating UCONN 3 times that season in the process. And won it last year, but didn't. This is where I sit, and I'm not making it much more analytical than this. Dawn has two championships. That Dime Store Queen has four. They should be at least knotted up in my opinion. I want Dawn to close on her and overtake her. Last year was devastating because of the team we had and how superior we were to the team the Queen had. That's personal with me. It might not matter to anyone else.I remember one season Notre Dame entered the NCAA Championship game undefeated, beating UCONN 3 times that season in the process.
Who did they face in the Championship Game? UCONN, of course. And the Irish lost.
Going undefeated and losing only one game in the tournament only happens to the great ones like Geno, Muffin and Dawn because they are the only coaches going into the tournament undefeated.
Not ad hominem,(talk about being delicate, projection is such a wonder ego defense)just a truthful accounting of your interactions on this thread and of your character in those interactions.Ad hominem attack aside, may I suggest the "ignore" button if my opinions are too agitating for your delicate palate?
I’ve never understood that saying either. I can only assume the principle is that by the third time a team has figured out the other’s game plan and tactics? Ok, fine, but doesn’t that also apply to the other side as well?
That will be a tough pill to swallow two years in a row.I remember one season Notre Dame entered the NCAA Championship game undefeated, beating UCONN 3 times that season in the process.

UCONN lost as an undefeated in the Final Four in back-to-back years. Remember when all the haters said Dawn was "lucky" to win in 2017 because Miss State beat UCONN? Last year Carolina was a terrible matchup for LSU, but Mulkey got "lucky" and we lost in the semis. The elite coaches just produce excellent teams year in and year out and some years things go there way in the tournament, so years they don't. The same 4 coaches win the national championship every year for a reason. Hopefully this is Dawn's year. That will be a tough pill to swallow two years in a row.
I'll continue to opine as I please. You, likewise, can do as you wish. If you feel the need to redress "my character" instead of my literal posts (the definition of ad hominem) please regard me as Sir, A$$hole from now on. I'm happy to settle for common ground. Not ad hominem,(talk about being delicate, projection is such a wonder ego defense)just a truthful accounting of your interactions on this thread and of your character in those interactions.
Rather ironic of you advising someone to use the ignore option. You should use it yourself. Instead you only show up on this thread to insult or troll bad news.
Someone fire the LSU training staff. Why did they let the LSU players yank up her off the floor?Very awful injury to pao from LSU. She tried to take a charge and hit her head on the court. She couldn’t stand up. It took forever for staff to come check on her . That was awful.
You've hit on another thing upon which we can agree. I consider it essential, even if there will be other seasons. There won't be many other seasons for someone my age....Hopefully this is Dawn's year.
They didn’t even seem to care at first . I was embarrassed for them.Someone fire the LSU training staff. Why did they let the LSU players yank up her off the floor?
