I disagree. Figs had done about the same amount of shooting, showing activity, as Ayala. In the 3rd period, Figs did stop shooting (in part because Ayala was on the all-out attack), and the ref dinged him about the time I would have given a stall warning.

Davis (and PSU's coaches) had a legitimate gripe there. You can stay away from trouble without running backwards, the way Figs did. In that situation, a ref is supposed to call stalling.
