Weird outing for Sanchez. It seemed like he was cruising in the bottom of the third. He had a low pitch count and got two quick outs. Then he issued a four pitch walk to the #9 hitter. After that the wheels really fell off.
Lol, drives you crazy. I saw a four-pitch walk to #9 in some game last weekend, I couldn't believe it. Goes to illustrate the level of mental discipline a pitcher needs. It's not easy.

I think the London trip, the extended absence of Turner and JT, injuries to Marsh and Clemens, plus the fact that two thirds of our outfied should be starting at Reading have finally come home to roost.

The good news is that we can lose 8 in a row and still be in first place.

Phillies choking away another one tonight. They can’t hit at all lately.

Seranthony gets his 1st save of the year, and the Fightins win 5-3 in 11 innings!

That was a feisty win. For a regular season game, felt like a World Series game inside the stadium. Hopefully, a step taken by Seranthony tonight. That was vintage Seranthon. Almost unhittable. Let’s get another win and get the squad back home with reinforcements coming.

I am no fan of Seranthony but I will admit he's looked better in his recent outings.

3 - 3 on this extended road trip so far. If we can squeeze out one more win in Baltimore, that would ensure us a 4 - 4 road trip.

I hope this game turns the corner for Seranthony. Maybe Rafael should be his designated catcher. We can't pitch Strahm every day.

Still in all, this is an amazing run with essentially one third of our starters and a key backup on the shelf (Turner, JT, Marsh and Clemens).

I’d take 4-4. The schedule makers did not do these guys any favors, that’s for sure. They have travelled a lot and the pitching has been hurt by throwing these guys off schedule. People can’t appreciate how much routine plays into succes and how much their routine has been disrupted. Throw in an injury to the heartbeat of this team and they need to keep the fort down until the AS break. Hopefully, this is a 4 week thing with JT and he’s back right after the break. Turner and Marsh will obviously be back in the next couple of days.

I still don’t know how that guy got to the dinger hit off Strahm. Marchan was almost standing up. That is one you just have to tip your hat to the batter.

Last night was a ton of fun. I think both fan bases seemed to enjoy each other and I think both teams want to measure where they are by playing each other. Seranthony was filthy last night. If they can get him back, their pen significantly improves.

Stay the course everyone. Like the goofy QB once said in Green Bay R-E-L-A-X.

I say JT and Trey should take as long as they need to get healthy and be ready for August and September.

That was a high pitch that Santander hit out. I didn't think he could get it that high and not hit a pop up.

Correct me if I'm wrong. Castellanos is the only player to play every game this season and he's hitting 208. Pathetic!
He’s bad. The only reason he’s still a Phillie is that his awful contract made him impossible to trade. No team was taking on that millstone.

So who gets sent down?

it's a tough one. Dahl and Pache have to clear waivers to be sent down. Rojas has options, so sending him down wouldn't expose him to being claimed.

You can make a case for why each of them makes the most sense. If I were the GM, I'd probably try to get Dahl past waivers.

Phillies pitching has hit the skids too. The Big 3 have looked human lately and I see a collapse on the way, unfortunately. Also, what is Thomson thinking batting the toreador second? That warrants being on the hot seat right now IMO
