Any chance Lonnie White is looking to come back to play football? Hit .167 in A ball with 129 Ks in 324 ABs over 89 games this season.

A 38% whiff rate will not get you to the next level. I don’t know how patient the Pirates would be with him. His numbers are not good after 4 seasons of minor league ball. .215 BA. He is only 22 so I suppose they can give him another 1-2 years to turn things around.

I’ll wait as I’m curious how @rigi19040 knows PS is out.
Was he at Ohowihate or Washington game?
I’m not sure, but I do believe he was at PSU for one of the games this season with the RB from Tep committed to PSU, who apparently, is his good friend.

Just curious though, why do you say that? Do you have an inside connection to him or Tep?

I have read/heard multiple reports from various insiders and podcasts.

Based on that info I doubt he is coming here.

Per the reports Mathis did not test well. His stock was dropping. He wanted mo money and OSU did not think he was worth as much. He is now looking around. Colorado and sec schools are in the mix.. Some think he is a project and more suited for DT. It was speculated that psu would take him but not at his asking price. Fans should not be upset if we lose him. The de Chaz who just committed to psu might have more upside. Hopefully OSU does not offer the new DE.

Good info. Thanks. Based on that, I’m sure Colorado is all over him.

OSU just had another DE decommit in 4* London Merritt.

Per ESPN he's #52 overall and this is on the heels of losing 4* and #63 Mathis.

Is LJ done? Expect them to go after Coleman even harder. Hopefully we can hold on. He's visiting OSU this weekend so the timing would seem to indicate they'll flip him.

This is why Singleton, Allar, and Carter have to declare for NFL. I have to believe that those players are consuming a large portion of the available NIL budget. We need that money to attract new players.

Not to get off topic, but I don’t see any reason why Carter would stay. He’s a top 10 pick, and have seen some top 5 in early projections. Singleton is likely gone. The resurgence of RBs this year in the NFL will have teams hungry to draft backfield talent. It’s great timing for him.

Allar is a coin flip. He hasn’t shown out, but it is a weak QB class. A good combine could serve him well, and teams always reach for a QB. My guess is he comes back for one more year.

I would say 85% to 95% change all three declare for the NFL. Carter is projected as a top 10 pick.

Good news.

Also, Merritt committed to Colorado last night

Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. Looks like we're keeping Coleman but losing Woods to Florida.
