Willie’s Crystal Ball has Duke at 157 and just saw a Flo post saying Kasak registered for Bill Farrel. Tea leaves were strong for Duke going and Tyler RS. Now even stronger

Thanks. I had never even heard ribs confirmed.Ribs take awhile my guess is it will be Mirasola for the first 5-6 weeks. Haven't heard the severity of the injury yet. But if it was bad he would obviously receive a medical
Looks like this one will be skipped (with permission) in favor of competing in the December one:
I’m not sure anything has been confirmed, fwiw. Maybe Corby heard something—but it seemed like it could also have been a knee issue to me.Thanks. I had never even heard ribs confirmed.

Given his wrestling ability, it does not.@61 means undersized 141 this year, if it matters.
I don't think he will be that undersized muscle-wise, but he is very short, and that will never change at 141@61 means undersized 141 this year, if it matters.
Ribs are tricky , have to be fully healed can't rush a rib injury. Thinking 6-8 weeks of total shut down than a slow rehab. Maybe full go at the start of big schedule.Ribs take awhile my guess is it will be Mirasola for the first 5-6 weeks. Haven't heard the severity of the injury yet. And we are assuming it’s “ribs” as opposed to another body part…Ribs are tricky , have to be fully healed can't rush a rib injury. Thinking 6-8 weeks of total shut down than a slow rehab. Maybe full go at the start of big schedule.
Initially there there was some chatter that Marcus would go 41 and Ono 33. Frankly I liked that setup more@61 means undersized 141 this year, if it matters.

Blaze isnt a 141. He's a 133 and 61kg. At u23 worlds at 65kg 143 he was smallInitially there there was some chatter that Marcus would go 41 and Ono 33. Frankly I liked that setup more
Feldman didn't have a back up like Mirasola. And Penn St doesn't have to worry about losing duals without him.Rib depends on severity but Feldman got his crushed by Wyatt last year at CKLV in December and didn't miss any duals in January. These are super human healers with the best doctors in the world.
I disagree. Marcus is probably a 141 in the future, but not this year. Strength would be an issue for him up there in folk. It’s much easier to compete in free where technique is king.Initially there there was some chatter that Marcus would go 41 and Ono 33. Frankly I liked that setup more
Good insight. Yes meant more for next year when hopefully both are in lineupI disagree. Marcus is probably a 141 in the future, but not this year. Strength would be an issue for him up there in folk. It’s much easier to compete in free where technique is king.
Ono is a brick sh$t house. Much better equipped to deal with a 23 year old 141 even though he will have to give up some length.
Maybe next year you will be correct, but this year I expect Marcus will experience some struggles not unlike Luke did even at 133.
BTW, by the looks of him, those struggles will be a thing of the past this year for Luke. I’d expect him to bonus a guy like Seymour this year. A year in the room, proper nutrition, weight training, is a huge difference.
I got nothing, KGB has more leaks than this program. 11/14 around 5pm is when I’m expecting news. Even then, it’s questionable.Any news on who won wrestle offs?
would love to see some of those battles in practiceThis may be old news but the roster is out earlier this year than prior years. Maybe too early to be trusted 100%.
Blaze, Davis, Nagao and Ono all listed at 133, interesting!
Guys from last year weights didn't change. Davis / Nagao 133 Kasak 149/57 Cochran 197. I wouldn't pay attention to the weights of those guys. Davis and Nagao are 141, Kasak 157 and Cochran HWT are what I expect. The new guys weights are correctThis may be old news but the roster is out earlier this year than prior years. That was the offseason he thought about cutting off his leg for an unfair advantage. -IOWAThe official roster showed Cenzo at 149 (his shirt weight) after he stuck Martinez in the 165 national finals.

The fact only Blaze, Davis, Nagao and Ono are listed at 133 proves Cael doesn't do the roster. If Cael did the roster he would list them all at the same weight and then get on here as guns to laugh at our overreactions.Blaze, Davis, Nagao and Ono all listed at 133
Consistent what I was told after being at two practices. One note I heard today about 141 at PSU, we're going to be in good shape there. Not a Mendez/Hardy level contender or anything but firmly someone you believe can AA, which it seems nobody is pencling us in for with Ono not in the lineup. Keep in mind we have 2 former 5th placers (albeit at 133) at that weight, both knowing they need to earn the spot.
Nagao has struggled with injuries since he stepped on campus and is the healthiest he's ever been and is extremely motivated to prove 2023 was no flash in the pan. Expect him to be a menace on top like always with some of his neutral game cleaned up.
I was told Davis had a total wakeup call from last season. Sometimes a humbling and "that's strike 1 and 2" message from a coach can change how you approach things. One might remember @dicemen99 hinted a younger wrestler wasn't all in and everyone had a good guess at who it is and his incident after NCAAs more or less confirmed it was Davis. Also don't forget he battled injuries (due to some carelessness with a scooter) and missed a ton of time. Despite all that, he placed 5th as a true sophomore.
Neither will be small for 141. Davis having a redshirt won't influence a decision, best man for the job.
I think Nagao being healthy and in the room awhile we see a jump from him and he's the guy.Consistent what I was told after being at two practices.
Spoke with Braeden and Aaron after one practice. Both are focused and ready to compete at the 141 pound weight class.
They are all beating Nico in the roomwould love to see some of those battles in practice
