Back in 96 we leased an apartment at Gateway. they asked us to wait an extra three days before moving in because they actually were putting new carpet in. The day we were allowed to move in we showed up and there was a seam that was up on the carpet and had already started a thread pulling out. we went down and told the manager and they brought the guys back in to redo it. Instead of doing it the right way they just cut a patch the length of the room and tried to make two seams. In doing, so they also spilled some of their glue from the bucket requiring another patch job later. At the end of the year they tried to bill us for new carpeting. They were such a disaster.

Yeah, it actually moved out to West College Ave by Cato Park. It was the clothing store that was to the left of it I was thinking of. There seem to be a lot of smoke shops now downtown. Was in the Family Clothesline the other night and was having flashbacks to Playland and where my favorite machines were!!
Yes, I agree. That clothes shop to left ( if you are coming from say the tavern) of where old main frame was is sporadically open.

i have been to the new Old Main Frame many time. Nice location, but sure don’t have the foot traffic. recently sold. Met the new owner. nice guy. played at penn state in a walk on in mid 200s, forget his name. Think he has ties to the old owners.

I hope for new high rises each year until slumlords like Dale Trout are put out of business. We had an oven that was about 40 years old and didn’t use it once. He charged us a $500 cleaning fee for the oven. Carpets older than we were, $500 carpet cleaning fee. He would conveniently charge a few thousand over the security deposit amount and agree to not make you pay any additional if you didn’t fight it. It’s amazing that guy can even walk around that town.

I sure hope Landmark Properties is leading a huge NIL initiative!
Don’t think it’s for student housing. Only whales need apply so yes. Maybe a couple of floors for housing fb team instead of new dorms. 😂

I’m sure it was all just a misunderstanding.
