Yet another example why I watch from home. Although even there, if I drink too much, the same old fat bastard steals my spot on the sofa when I get up to pee.
Sorry to hear this. Beaver stadium has been a microcosm of the lack of courtesy in society over the last few years. My dad is 75 and was walking up the stairs to our seats earlier this season and some dude pushed by him. Couple the general lack of politeness with the constant alcohol consumption and the place is turning into a cesspool.I have been attending PSU games at Beaver Stadium for nearly 50 years and have been a season ticket holder for probably the last 15 years. I have been in my current seats for about 10 years. Unfortunately, I had my first negative experience at a game this past Saturday.
My son attended with me and he had a class that pushed our arrival at our seats at about 3 minutes after kickoff. When we get to the row, we have to climb over 6-7 people and when I get to my seats, there's two guys in them. Right away, they started by saying that they held the tickets to the seats in front of my seats and were there with the guys in the row behind us. (BTW, I didn't recognize any of the regular season ticket holders in any of the seats around me.) They asked if I minded if I took their seats. I said no, that I wanted to stay in my seats, that they were my season tickets. I didn't get to say much more because they got salty right away and moved up and started telling their friends behind us that they were gonna "stand tall" the entire game - and they did.
The real reason I didn't want to take their seats was that the seats in front of me have seat backs and I am 60 years old and wearing multiple layers of clothes. I was not going to be able to navigate down very easily. Nor did I want to go back out over the people I just tried to get around and do the same thing the next aisle down.
The next incident occurred at the first pick 6. One of the guys (both were mid to late 30's) turned around and started to high 5 his buddy in the row behind my side - he went right over my son with an arm on each side of my son's head. It was over the line in my opinion, and probably premeditated. My son gave him a forearm to the chest and they ended up having words. The guys were all saying that they were just celebrating, blah blah blah. The guys in front appeared to have a few in them and the ones behind were attempting to calm the situation down.
I would have gladly tried to have a reasonable conversation about my decision and probably would have changed seats if it was an hour before the game, but not at that time.
2000 UM game “Michigan Man” got in my 84-year-old grandfather’s face as we were walking to the stadium. I was 12. still incensed by it 25 years later. The worst experience I ever had was 97 against scum. I had some of their Walmart wolverine fans in front of me and it was the closet I ever came to a physical altercation. They were worse than pitt fans or any of our old eastern rival fans.
Daughter got married in early November in Clearwater Beach at the JW Marriott. Flood gates protected the Marriott but nearby Holiday Inn first floor was hit hard. Most big hotels recovered but smaller single floor businesses we hit and many will not recover. Overall I was happily surprised at CBs recovery.I didn’t realize you were in that area. Forgive my question, but do you happen to know what condition Clearwater Beach area is in following the hurricanes? Looking to visit in Feb/March. Thanks.
Scum fans are the most arrogant, delusional clowns I've ever come across. They were complete dbags when we joined this league and I'll never forget.2000 UM game “Michigan Man” got in my 84-year-old grandfather’s face as we were walking to the stadium. I was 12. still incensed by it 25 years later.

And the officiating in those days by the old Ann Arbors boys was blatantly biased in a way one couldn't describe unless you witnessed it personally.
