UT is going to beat the dogshit out of us.
On TOS, some whacko from New Orleans claims Tanner is very upset over our performance at UF and the seeming lackadaisical attitude of our team (which I assume includes the coaches) over losing. As much as I’d like to believe that, I have even less faith in Tanner than I do in our current football staff.

2 things. 1)I choose to believe theres a curse, it's better than just sucking for so many years. 2) if he's not going to be on a roller coaster every week he had better find another job!
I don’t curse, but sometimes it makes me laugh. This is as blunt and truthfully as it can be put.

If this is true then it has to be because Tanner is ticked off that he didnt pay Napier what he wanted for staff and hired Beamer instead. Then he saw what napier did to us and it wasnt pretty and he did so being on the job less time. It had to be salt on an open wound for tanner.

And the more intelligent portion of the Gamecock cult....err...I mean "fanbase" is calling out facts as they see them and you and others make excuses for failure and mediocrity which only enables (much like you would an addict) the likes of Ray Tanner and the BoT and thus perpetuates the joke of a program we have. Will Muschamp?? Shane Beamer?? Seriously, if his last name isn't Beamer he doesn't have this job. We are not serious about football.....that's the hard truth. Calling people stating facts "crybabies" is akin to being a "flat-earther". It must be blissful not having to be burdened by reality. Seriously though.....everything else Gamecock aside.........who brings up a 28.5 year old pop culture reference??? Are Lorena Bobbitt references going to be next?
That was Caslen and the BOT who weren't about to approve that kind of money for a staff. According to one of the BOT members I know, Tanner was pissed and simply would arrange interviews with whoever Caslen wanted to interview.
He should have resigned right there and then. I couldn't work under those conditions.
He only has about another year on his contract and he wants to get the upgrades on his baby, Founders Park, completed before he retires.
As far as his relationship with Caslen....think back to the Holderman versus Carlen days and you'll have a good idea.

Lots that one could say on this video, but I will just say that I love how he has addressed this ... the "find some joy" comment did rub us fans the wrong way, especially after the dismal FL and Mizzou outings ... coupled with the elephant in the room (ineptitude of Satt) and it has honestly made me apathetic closing out this year (feels like the Muschamp last two years) ... I greatly appreciate him addressing this and tackling it head on ... Muschamp would have only responded to this as a question, and not bringing it up himself (IMHO). He has no choice (thinking long term) in that he cannot (and should not) fire Satt now ... what coach would want to come work for him if he did that ... I do not envy him on the Satt firing (or my presumption he will) as they have been very close friends ... tough "process" to do this, but the right decision to make ... this speaks to his integrity overall and definitely spills over into the program ... very thankful to view this video.

Anyway yeah. Never thougt I would see our coach apologize weakly/weekly.
When they come out and play like they have never played football before, I can find joy in turning the USC games off and watching South Park re-runs. It’s pretty much the only way for a USC fan not to go cRaZy!
