Why are we returning kickoffs? The only time it makes sense is when the ball is on the ground and is not going to get into the end zone. If you don't touch it, you're at the 25 yard line. 75 yards away from paydirt. We tried twice last night and didn't get to the 25 and once started at the 5. Plus, you risk a penalty or even worse, an injury. The chance of a long return is not worth the inherent risk.

I guess we thought that we had better players and could get past the 25?

Why would an SEC program hire a head coach who has never been a HC or even coordinator at any level? Who knows? See thats the fun in it all!

Did you see our offense? Returning those kicks would be best chance to score. It was the only time we moved the ball more than 15 yards at one time…
