Correct, but so few people know Mt Carmel let alone Kulpmont. The land of the sopressata a.k.a soupie and Jazz Diminick. But by the time Chesney was in HS, OLOL didn't have football and he played for Mt Carmel under a cooperative agreement. He got better maths at Lourdes.
Coach Diminick had a Saturday morning radio show during football season circa 1970's. My first year as a shave tail asst. Coach at Southern, I got sent to substitute for HC Bob Gutchall after a loss. I remember Bernie Romanowski had a similar gig in Shamokin.

I'm just wondering who is really worth more- a college football coach or an ER nurse. I'm going with the nurse. I don't think they get paid $10 mil.
They would if they could put together an ER team that can attract tens of thousands of fans and a national tv audience.

Sure, promote from within. OBVIOUSLY. o_O moore didn’t know about the blatant, rampant cheating.

Meaning five years good, more than five years bad. Got it. 👍

It’s less the length, and more the burden:

His buyout starts at $5 million and decreases by $1 million each year, down to $1 million in the final year of the contract. Moore is a first-time head coach -- at least formally.

Careful. That's the amount Moore would owe UMich if he left for another job. If the scUMbuckets fire him without cause, he would collect 75% of the remaining guaranteed comp. So at $5.5mm per (I'm too lazy to do the 2% annual increase) Michigan would pay Moore $20mm and change if it fired him today.

Thanks for clarifying - thought too good to be true but still - 5 years is smart.

For sure. We've seen a couple of contracts of shorter duration with performance incentives instead of guaranteed amounts (this one and Elko's at aTm). But there are still dunderheaded ADs. Why not, it's not their money.
