The first one fired is the one who gave Allen a $35 Million guaranteed 7 year contract.
That would be this guy:
IU names Scott Dolson as new director of intercollegiate athletics: IU News

The next guy fired should be the one who canned Allen, and paid him $20 million to not work for Indiana anymore.
That would be this guy:

The third guy fired would be the one who fired Allen 12 months before the payout to can him would have dropped by 70%.

Notice a trend?

And yet these empty-headed, empty-suit muttons continue to not only burn wheelbarrows full of money on the Incompetence Bonfire - they also continue to collect their own "gag a horse"salaries.

(Dolson continues make something on the order of $750,000 per year, for his stellar contributions to IU Athletics :)
He would, obviously, have to show the ability to build even bigger bonfires of cash if he wanted to reach Barbour-ous levels of comp)

For 2/3 his salary, I would have kept him another year. 😉

Looks like USC read our board and took into account housing costs in the LA market ...........
USC is expected to hire UCLA defensive coordinator D’Anton Lynn in the same capacity on a three-year deal, according to a program source. ESPN first reported the move was in the works.

When Lynn was hired by UCLA, the Bruins were paying $1 million a year to a first-time DC. USC is set to pay Lynn $2 million a year plus a $500,000 housing stipend, per a program source. UCLA did make a strong push to keep him.

Should be able to find a nice studio apartment.

Hopefully his buyout isn't a crazy number. Must not have been happy with the way things panned out with the Elko move to fall on his sword and take the Syracuse job.

I think he wants to be DC. Elko was only going to make him the highest paid DL coach.

Seemed like a no brainer promotion, but stranger things have happened. Are any of the Syracuse contract deets out there?
So long time Franklin asst. gets the A&M job.......
After Elijah Robinson took the defensive coordinator job at Syracuse, new Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko worked quickly to fill a key role on his staff.
Florida co-defensive coordinator/defensive line coach Sean Spencer will take the D-line job at Texas A&M, according to ESPN's Pete Thamel.
