Penn State's own Alex Limoges with 2 assists in the game, earning 3rd star of the game honors.
The AHL playoffs are a grind, but I think the 2 best regular season teams made the finals. Hershey in 6 games, winning at home in front of a full house.
Go Hockey Bears!

MATT STROME WITH THE OT WINNER! Playing with a significant facial injury, Pierrick Dube nets a hat trick as he, Matt Strome, and "Jimi" Hendrix Lapierre power the Bears to their 13th cup in franchise history with a hat trick.

The Bears win the series 4-2. They won last years Calder Cup Final (also over Coachella Valley, 4-3 in OT of game 7)

The Firebirds were heavily favored coming into the series, as Hershey was missing 3 starters on defense and their regular season leading point getter Mike Sgarbossa.

Prospect report: Lapierre stock is at an all time high. Definitely think a solid NHL 2C is a reasonable ceiling for him. Skating ability (edgework) and hand eye coordination (deflections) are great. Named the AHL playoff MVP

On Dube: How did this guy go undrafted? Undersized but has a wicked shot and (to my naked eye) at least above average skating ability. Its either top 6 or bust for him as far as an NHL future, so not sure if he will ever get there.

Miroschnichenko: NHL potential, but still really raw. Only 20 years old so still plenty of time to develop.
