Could Hardy go before King in the draft?

Kalen has had a run of bad events - sr bowl and combine. Hardy shows some things and has some decent tap over his career. King not so good 2023 season. He was going to be possible first rounder. this is weird.

Very unlikely…I’d assume we see King on day 2, and Hardy sometime on day 3.

However, it’s becoming more likely that King is the 4th (or even 5th) PSU player taken.

King listened to the wrong voices. Should have stayed for another year at PSU.

With that 40, isn’t there a reasonably good chance King doesn’t get drafted?

Unlikely that he would have gotten appreciably faster in a year.

Wonder if he got a draft evaluation.
It must kind of suck coming to the realization that your NFL dreams aren’t going to pan out. It’s an old story.

The toughest thing for King to overcome going into the draft is that he simply didn't play very well last year (despite playing in a conference with a lot of JV level QBs and WRs).
The measurables won't help - but if his 2023 play was equal to his 2022 play, a lot of potential sins would be forgiven.

My hot take is that Hardy is taken before King. And before I get torched for this, it's a hot take guys.

The NFL.com draft site has both King and Hardy rated below Johnny Dixon, and they are all projected as 'Average Back-Up or Special Teamer,' and it's probably accurate. Good on King and Dixon for bailing on their team for the potential to not be drafted at all.

I blame the fans for not ponying up an NIL deal higher than average backup NFL salary.

James Franklin no doubt agrees....

I don’t even know about that. 4.6 is 4.6 no matter what the tape shows.

King obviously has to ball out at the PSU Pro Day. Hopefully he has better numbers as well as a workout overall.

I think King will do decent as some NFL teams #2 Corner. To get drafted higher, you have to project as being their #1. Or at least they think you can as they contemplate replacing the current #1 in a year or so. Cap withstanding.

Somebody will like him. I don't see UDFA. I'm just not sure he's going before Day 3 now.
