Turpin made a nice catch and run. No one has said a word to me about Dak going out for the year. I guess his surgery explains his grit; it's hard to imagine that it is torn away from the bone.
I don't know if they might get lucky or not and win one game, but they are hurting on both sides of the ball. I hope they spend some time during the off season on some Linemen.
The turf not being ready because Jerry hosted a novelty boxing match 3 days before the game and that leading to the best kicker in the league shanking a 40 yarder pretty much sums up the Cowboys as an organization and Jerry as an owner.
That is why the big boys don't carry the ball.

Dak has his issues, but anybody who can't see how vital he is to this organization, is either as delusional as a Democrat or just plain toopid.
They were a very mediocre team with him this season. They are officially one of the worst teams in the league without him.

Cooper can play quarterback, but the way they block, you need somebody else to play quarterback who can run. Of course, it probably does not matter anyway.
No QB is going to have success with that line and running game and Defense. Wonder whose fault that is???...
Ask a Cowboys fan and it’s Dak’s fault even though he’s not playing. You will also be told Trey Lance is the answer.

Playing out the string. Again cowboys window to win is over. They need a few high draft picks to start to rebuild the franchise. They had a big window to win over the past 6-8 years and never could get it done in the playoffs.
Funny one or two idiots on this board have no clue how the NFL works. Theyve been 12-5 3 years running. Cap and salaries have caught up with them and injuries didnt help.. much like many other organzations before them..and many more will follow that path after them..

Imagine getting double shafted by a team you cant seem to beat in a playoff game. They threw Lance to you and you gave up draft picks to get him. The guy can't throw a dart and hit the wall but he's quick!
The Lord knows I'm not one to defend Jerry, but they take that turf in and out very frequently for different events.
Yep, Jimmy selected and coached the rosters that won the SBs in the 90s and he held everyone accountable including himself.
I know Switzer technically gets to claim one but he didn't select or coach those players.
If Jerah was serious about a rebuild....which he's not and never will be....he'd throw the bank at the Lions OC, hire a new GM to draft the right players, trade Parsons for multiple draft picks (mini Herschel deal) and make sure this teams only wins 1-2 more games (easiest one). If you can get a top 5 pick this year then you trade back for multiple picks. They need good cheap players right now and the draft is where to get it. If you trade Micah and your top 5 pick you could have 2 drafts in one or over 2 years. Of course if Jerah's still making the call on players it won't matter.
ahh he aint gonna totally rebuild now that he signed Dak. The opportunity to rebuild was before you signed him to a massive deal. Anything he does now will be tweaks here and there, but even then it'll be 2 years before they can get the window opened back up.
They had a nice 6-8 year stretch where they were good. They held that window open longer than most teams could even think of. Now they are having pay the piper because of that.
I like your plan though. Would have done it with Dak and Parson's both though

you have to go all the way back to 2016 before you find a year where Dallas wasn't in the top half of the league in terms of salary cap money put to use. They've constantly put money into their roster and havent tanked in years.

I agree it probably should've happened before signing Dak but that's how disconnected with reality this front office has become. They literally thought they had a chance to make the playoffs with this roster and coaching. I have 0 faith anymore.....the Jones family has broke me.
revenue doesnt matter, cash spending doesnt matter. As bellichik said, no team can constantly be at the top of cash spending yearly, yet even in your data you see they were 2nd and 3rd. Cap is king and they've always used up the cap to put players on the field.
You can only spend what the cap allows you to spend and for the last 10 years the cowboys have always been in the top half of the league and many times inside the top 10. They've always spent... They are the farthest thing from cheap.
Im a life long cowboy fan.. and You can say a lot about the entire organization.. but one thing they havent been is cheap.... the statement in bold is very naive. You should read up on how the cap and cash works... statements like that show you really have no clue how money, cap, and cash work in the NFL
Yes, they moved to drafting developing and resigning their own quite a few years ago. They don't really participate in major free agent signings and they should have when the window was open but Jerah knew he'd have to pay up with future losing teams....he gets what he deserves!
Ehhhh... what did you want Jerry do.. tell everyone he wasnt going to make the playoffs. The fact he made zero moves in the off-season and said something along the lines of this being a wait and see type seasons.. read b/t the lines there.
Jerry's main fault is he never wanted to do a rebuild. He never wanted to suck for 2-3 years to rebuild the thing like other organizations have.
“Transition period”, “rebuild through the draft”, and “window to win” aren’t inherent inevitabilities that come from running a franchise. They are self-imposed penalties, by bad GM’s, that come from continuously poor roster and salary cap management over multiple years.
You never hear fans or media talking in those terms with franchises like the Chiefs, Eagles, 49ers, Ravens, Steelers, and a few others….because those franchises all have GM’s that aren’t clueless, and know how to be competitive every year even if it means higher roster turnover.
Jerry is a really bad GM that is also 82 years old. He’s sometimes gets confused for being at least a mediocre / average GM because he didn’t get a chance to draft Paxton Lynch or a bunch of other terrible QB’s, and accidentally got “stuck” with a Top 7-8 QB that he was lucky enough to land in the 4th round.
every team has to eventually pay the piper. Its how the league is built. Runs in cycles. Why team's windows to win are very small.
Dallas had some very good teams over the last 6-8 years. Choked in the playoffs.

Chiefs, Ravens, and Steelers are really the only teams that have managed to be successful over long periods of time without a rebuild in the NFL's last 30 years.
Dallas has had more success in Jerry Jones tenure than maybe 3-4 other organizations in the NFL.
