This is actually a strong, measured take. But I wonder if you feel the same way about illegal immigration? Because while my child hasn't been murdered by an illegal immigrant, there are quite a few parents who have experienced that nightmare. And while it might not happen very often, happening once is too many times. I do believe there are folks who are kept up at night wondering about the security of our nation under the current administration's border policy.

I don't see this becoming more than a clickbait issue that doesn't impact 99% of our lives and Washington should stay out of it. Yes, it happens. Do I like it? No. It's stupid. It strikes me as odd when the loudest people “for women’s rights” have no problem with sickos taking away opportunities from the women they claim to support.

And having taken the stance that you have, I’m guessing that you don’t actually support Title IX since you don’t want the feds getting into such things.

You are right it's hypocrisy and counterintuitive. The spirit of it is lost.
