Dak, DK, and Slay all on the same team? Will OM and State fans sing Kumbaya at the Super Bowl? Will DK simulate a dog pissing on the goal post if he catches a TD from Dak?

As a life long Cowboys fan, it was a great day for me when Dallas drafted Dak! It actually reenergized my fandom in the Cowboys.
But the way Cowboys fans treat Dak has been gut wrenching to endure.
I have extremely disliked (hate would be too strong but close) the Steelers since Bradshaw beat them in 79.
But I have to say, it would be a good fit for Dak because the Cowboys wont win a SB again until Jerry is no longer the owner.
Really mixed feelings about this, IF its at all true.

Same here. I don't want him to go, as a Cowboys fan. But I don't see us winning a SB anytime soon. So I'll be happy for him if he gets to a contender.

However I don't see anyone taking on his contract and Dallas eating their portion of his contract.

So NOT going to happen. Cowboys can't afford it and

Dak don't want it.

The Boys probably still have a better chance getting to the Super Bowl than the Steelers do.

As it stands now, Rodgers or Wilson will be the Steelers qb next season. Potential for Mason Rudolph to be qb2. There was talk of Carr or Cousins being considered but as I understand it, it is more complicated with them.

From what I've read, Steelers thought they had more time to negotiate with Fields. Fields wanted assurance he was QB1 and apparently Steelers weren't willing to commit.

The only reason I think it won't happen is because of Dak himself. The Cowboys are his childhood and adult dream team. He likely still believes he can do it in Big D.

And I can go back to rooting for the Cowboys to lose every game by 40 points. Lots of win in this scenario.

Not going to happen this year. Maybe if the Steelers sign Rogers and he only stays there a year then next year, when the contract is a little shorter, it may can happen.

From the google:

If the Dallas Cowboys were to trade Dak Prescott before June 1st, 2025, they would face a significant dead money charge of over $103 million, impacting their salary cap flexibility and the ability to build the roster

It is Jerry jones though……
So….what does it drop to AFTER June 1st?
Asking for friends…

They treated White and Romo just as bad.

According to Spotrac.com, Dak's salary cap hit for 2025 is almost $53 million. Hold your horses, in 2026 and 2027 it will be over $70 million. Jerry better get to renegotiating that or it's gonna be worse than the Browns Salary Cap hell with DeShaun

Probably can't be worse unless Dak commits some crimes and also forgets how to play QB. Actually that wouldn't be worse, that would just be the same.

This I could get behind. That would be a decent landing spot for Dak.
Except for a lot of reasons, including - he gets to play inside in Dallas; Pittsburgh is a lot colder and they play outside; Dallas is a much nicer city that Pittsburgh; the Cowboys have the largest fan base in the NFL. Plus - didn't he just build a new mansion in Dallas after demolishing his old mansion?

Cowboys have 11th most cap $ to spend. Dak’s 60 has nothing to do with last year or this years inactiveness in free agency.

I believe the source for that Reddit story is “this dude’s ***”. Maybe he’s correct.
Just saying where there is smoke, hear me out Rogers isn't going to the Burgh, Wilson isn't the answer, they lost Fields because they chose to stop playing him when they were winning with him and Russ came back. Only free agent out there is cousins who isn't much better than Russ, if at all. They give Dallas Pickens and a draft pick and Pittsburgh gets Dak. You know Jerry can't resist a premadonna Wide out!

There's literally no smoke other than one Reddit thread.

Jerry Jones is not nearly as worried about a championship as Cowboy fans are. He's about the bottom line and as long as Dak is a positive contributor to that bottom line he ain't going anywhere.
